There is going to be so much here to visually bedazzle us its going to be difficult to take it all in. We've seen just 3% (approx 4 mins) of a 136 minute film and the variety and quality of shots is simply brilliant. And then we have the story to contend with as well.

... This is an absolutely great interview of JJ on Wired! "Superfan JJ Abrams on directing The Force Awakens". Check it out....http://www.wired.com/2015/11/star-wars-force-awakens-jj-abrams-interview/#slide-1

I read that earlier. It's so refreshing to have a guy with his mentality bringing SW back to the big screen as opposed to how Uncle George handled it when he did the prequels. You can tell just from reading that interview that JJ is legitimately concerned with giving fans the absolute best experience possible and I can't wait to see what he delivers. :cool

While I don't believe any major spoilers would ever be officially released, I think I am about ready to jump on the "perhaps we're getting a little too much footage" bandwagon. Just based on what we've seen so far I've already begun to be able to roughly piece together several different events and sequences and I wonder if I'm any better for it.

Of course, I know the media blitz is not aimed at obsessive SW fans like us that have watched every single morsel of footage released, but rather your general audience types that need to be reminded there's a new SW movie coming out next month.

I will have to agree .. I'm begining to think that I'll quickly unsubscribe from this thread and let go till the 17th .. oh yeah, that's because work has given me tickets to see the movie in pre-premiere because our xmas party is the 18th!! LOL

[h=2]Exclusive Star Wars inspired sketch announced for Appeal Show 2015![/h]
p036cxt9.jpg

28 October

This year BBC Children in Need is set to join forces with Lucasfilm and Disney for a one-off special.
In an exclusive Star Wars inspired sketch, R2-D2 and C-3PO will be joined by Warwick Davis as they attempt to find a worthy winner to help trigger the first BBC Children in Need totaliser of the night.

It’s an important task and Warwick is determined not to be side-tracked by the many famous friends in his path who are vying for this coveted role.
Tune into the Appeal Show to see who is revealed as the ultimate fan with some surprise guests along the way.

I wonder who the surprise guests could be

J

Wrong link. Let's not unnecessarily subject people to acapella Star Wars. Correct one here:

I don' think I can sit through listening to the casts of three shows I have no interest in ever watching talk about Star Wars. I'm with Wolfsburg and Bigturc in that I have probably seen enough footage to get me through the next 5+ weeks and I don't want anything else given away before seeing the actual film so the ABC promo is probably a pass for me.

Perhaps the inspiration for the sounds of BB-8? : https://youtu.be/dFLr6OM_hS4 (begin at 8:55)

Sounds a lot like him especially the last bit.

You Could be very right there, My Friend that worked on the costumes on set on TFA is also is a tech for the band Faithless, He told me about various visits of JJ's friends from within the music industry and they were all Vintage analogue keyboard nuts, JJ is a huge keyboard nut and collector

I don't care for IMAX. Just give me a decently-sized screen and very high quality projection and sound. I want to see the whole composition of the frame! I've actually missed things in IMAX viewings because I was looking at the wrong part of the screen.
I agree. I have a friend who likes to sit so close to the screen that he feels like he's in the movie. Me, I want the entire screen in my line of sight so that I don't have to keep turning my head and potentially miss something in the process. No IMAX, no 3D, just a theater with a decently-sized screen and a good sound system, and I'll be happy.

Exactly.

I like to have my field of vision filled by the screen, but never to the point where I have turn my head. I like to be looking straight at the screen somewhere in the middle row center.....
