Agreed.I wish we could put this argument to sleep. These are more enlightened times and the entertainment industry has responded to changing tastes because there is a demand for it. But I find Jeyls obsession rather odd given just how many really strong and interesting female characters actually populate many of the hit films and TV series we've had over the decades. His arguments kind of hollow very hollow when you look at them all.

Interestingly Jeyl seems to fail to mention AT ALL Gwendolyn Christies as Captain Phasma in TFA along with a fair spread of other female roles.
I'd also mention "Ava" played by Alica Vikander in "Ex Machina" who plays a female robot AI who brilliantly manipulates the entire male cast (of two) . There are probably many others but I'm kind of burning out right now.
