Yes they are...

Yet all of these claims are baseless regarding these upcoming films and media from the new LucasFilm.

And sometimes, not even that...

And you SIr, are an utter fraud!!!

And you know what else? The 'appropriate thread' where I don't even talk about Star Wars, the immediate post following mine was

The Force Awakens looks like it's going to be great!

If you really want me to feel like I can make things better, it'd help if you didn't treat me like I was the only problem here.

Well, I apologize. I was just having some fun. No malice intended. We had pages of back and forth about women's roles in the movies in a thread about a movie coming out in 4 months and then you finally made another thread, as requested, so I thought I'd pull 'the old switcheroo' and that's what I did.

After all, these boards are for arguing if Spiderman's powers are realistic or not. And why there were so many Rebel Transports attacking Death Star 2 .

This ain't Newsweek or some college class and I was tired of the whole thing.

Who says that he belongs to the New Rebels? Perhaps whoever owns him now is poor? Maybe Luke ran into some money issues at some point and couldn't afford to fix 3P0's arm proudly, I'd imagine that being a Jedi trying to reestablish the Jedi Order doesn't exactly pay that well.

Based on this interview, it sounds like we won;t see Maz until the film. So no toys and no merchandising with her character.

I would't say that at all. I see toys kids can play with, not collectibles adults can covet. When I was 9 in 1977 and the first toys showed up they were simple and playable and fun. These have that same vibe.

Ah I see. I can understand being coy about Snoke since I suspect he's gonna be a big deal.

I don't see anything wrong with these toys either. I also note that this gives us a better look at the new star destroyer...

Not that these toys are the final word but I am surprised to see that the First Order doesn't seem to have anything analogous to the old biker scouts. It appears that the new "biker" is just a standard stormtrooper with black armor.

Problem is everyone wants everything to look like the vintage figures, packaging and all. And if they did go that route some would complain of the lack of originality. They will probably eventually release some of these on vintage style cards.

Okay. Not to be too critical but it looks like there aren't any aliens in this new galaxy. I hope there's a ton of other characters we still haven't met yet. And other than the vehicles that are related to the OT (star destroyer, falcon, xwing, speederbike, tie fighter) the new vehicles look like latter-season GI joe. Heck, the new Speederbike looks like they wanted to get more mileage out of an old mold so they added an enhancement on the front.

And lastly, that Falcon toy is garbage. Pure Garbage. I would have rather seen the older 1977 falcon with a new dish. I would be amazed if you could actually fit two people in the cockpit of this thing! Having it more as some exploded playset is a total step backwards

And I'm not coming at this from an adults' standpoint. The thing I loved most was versatility with toys. They need a high "whoosh" factor. Every kid out there is gonna hope to see the legacy falcon under the tree this christmas, not this bird


I really hope there will be a round two with some actual space ships because right now, the new stuff doesn't hold a candle to even the clone wars ships.

Obviously I'm excited about the movie, but at this point, I hope that there's a ton we haven't seen yet.

I generally disagree but I have noticed the seeming lack of aliens we've seen before. Maz Kanata, Teedo, the luggabeast, Baba Joe, Constable Zuvio, the ones we saw in the BTS vid (plus the motley crew we saw in the Vanity Fair spread) are fine and swell but besides Chewie, Nien Nunb and Ackbar, I don't think we've seen a single familiar alien species from the past movies. My hope is they are attempting to make the galaxy seem bigger and more expansive and not relying too much on the same bunch we've seen before.

I'm disappointed we haven't see a new Rebel capital ship yet. I like that speederbike/swoop with the standup gunner that has Finn with it.

Yeah I wonder if we'll see new Mon Cal cruisers or something else. Not capital ships but I'm also hoping we'll see some version of the A- and B-wings.

I'd also like to see some playsets. My old hoth imperial attack base was one of my favorite toys ever.

How awesome would that fallen at at be as a playset?
