The EU may have explained a lot, answered a lot of fanboy questions, but Average Joe doesn't know jack about the EU. That's why it was made non canon. I read Splinter of the Minds Eye and that was it. Never touched any more of the EU. To me and the Average Joe, SW is what is on the big screen.

The saber, yeah, I say ancient steam punk saber design.

Pretty sure the leaders, governors, generals, etc of the other 999 GALAXIES didn't just throw their hands up, and say to the janitor, "turn the lights off on your way out guys" and go home.

JD, stop. There is ZERO in the OT actual films that suggest they are clones. ZERO. I am so with you on so many things you say here, but this is just a fools errand of a debate.

I'm not sure if you're making a joke or not with this, but in case you aren't, then I will say we're probably not looking at Tatooine and Hoth, but entirely different locations. Just because one has sand and the other has snow does not automatically make them places we've seen before.

Trust me that was meant as a joke re the levels people go to to be disgruntled about absolutely nothing and how pointless that nothing is!!!!! And I guess your confusion shows that this is common place in this thread!!!! When humour is lost the soul deflates

None of the stormtrooper voices are Australian. The SE made Boba Australian, but not the stormies. Therefore, GL didn't intend OT stormies to still be clones, or he woulda given them all the Jango voice as he did Boba.

People are reacting to the empire still being around like I reacted to empire strikes back when I was 10... "I thought they won!".

if only taking out a leader automatically meant happily ever after.

No lock, there is nothing but respect here, Just passion. And again, in regards to why the old remnants of the Empire, i do find it more compelling that the struggle could continue for 30+ years, especially if the rumors about Luke in self imposed exile are true. If Luke felt he needed to not continue to influence galactic affairs and went away, the high could continue.
