Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Pre-release) (Spoilers)

Not necessarily, you have to figure that even assuming the Empire actually managed to kill all 10,000 Jedi and none of them went to ground like Obi-Wan and Yoda not all of those lightsabers would have simply fallen to the ground for the Clones, Inquisitors, and TKs to pick up. The majority of them, yes, but some might have been lost in water, mud, sand, debris, etc. because the Jedi was killed somewhere where there wasn't clear ground for the saber to fall on and be clearly visible. So it would make sense for there to still be a few lightsabers out there, not many but a few, and it wouldn't be unbelievable for a few of them to be in the hands of (rich) collectors.
I'm sure that they do exist. But I'm also sure that the empire would destroy any lightsabers that were confiscated.

Practical use aside, they were the symbol of the jedi. In fact, I highly doubt that the general public is even aware of the sith. I doubt anyone other than eyewitnesses knows that palpatine and vader can use the force

I don't doubt any of that, all I'm saying is that not all are lost or destroyed when found. I'm just saying that a small number them wind up in private collections, either through the bribing someone when a collector here's about one being found or through their own agents who go searching for sabers on their behalf. Think Indiana Jones but with fewer to no scruples and works for filthy rich collectors instead of museums.

"Knights of Ren"....I keep thinking of The Knights who say "Ni".

I think of, well... Ren.

If Kylo calls someone a "fat bloated idiot", I'm out (I tried to misspell "idiot" for the quote, but autocorrect changed it to "redistribution". What the...?).

I pressed the "Try Me" button on one of the Captain Phasma masks in a Disney Store. One of her lines sounded like "Oh my God".
If she in the movie says "Oh my God" as an expletive (not as worshipping a Sith lord), then I am out.

The following lines are spoken by Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie)

“Move to your ships, now.”
“On my command…”
“Fire FN2187.”
“Submit your blaster for inspection.”

As far as destroying the lightsabers, evidently the Kyber crystals are highly sought by the Empire. In one of the REBELS RECON extras from the animated series, the question of why the Empire would be interested in the crystals was posed to Pablo Hidalgo, who is the head of the story group, I believe. His response was that the crystals are known for being able to focus energy in incredible ways. He then said if say, 8 or so of them were to be arranged in a circle, then they could be incredibly destructive (I'm paraphrasing here). Then they flashed an image of the Death Star's Beam when it destroyed Alderaan. I know that some will complain about it, but that's the official word.:unsure

Makes sense to me.

Makes sense to me.

There were two episodes of Clone Wars that featured the Empire having acquired a giant Cyber crystal and one Rebels as well. They use the crystals for the super lasers on the Death Star's.

It saddens me that the clone wars were canned at the height of their creativity.

In many ways, that became my favorite star wars period

It's a shame it couldn't be seen through to the end but I understand the creative decision to switch gears and move into the Rebels time frame and I really love the new show as well.

Saw the toys in person for the first time today, is it me, or are the 3.5 inch figures a bit low quality compared to ones we have had in the past.

You would think with what is potentially the most money making franchise in the world they would have done a better job, or do they think people will buy them anyway, so why bother?

They've split the figures between the basic line, which focuses on durability and play value, and the Black Series, which focuses on hyper-articulation and -detailing. My only wish is that figures so far only represented in the basic line, or the 6" Black Series, also see life in the 3.75" Black Series. That's tended to be my main focus -- I tend to only get one of a particular iteration of a face character, and like it to be the best possible -- the "300th figure" Boba Fett, the ANH version of Vader with Obi-Wan's vacated cloak as the base, the realistic Ventress and Durge from the Clone Wars microseries...

There is no part of me that believes it was a creative decision. I'm sure that the show was too violent for Disney xd.
