Question... it appears as if Luke was handing off his original lightsaber... didn't he lose that on Bespin with his hand? Did he go back and get it somehow??

Nice catch on the possible crashed SSD! I was trying to figure out what type of ship it was and didn't make that connection. I'm starting to dig the Stormtroopers. I still say the chest and legs are too plain. I'm wondering if the Kylo's mask is a Sith mask since there's a rumored Sith artifact collector.

Are the rest of you who are old enough to have seen the originals as kids getting that same feeling when Empire and Return were about to be released? Makes me feel like a kid again! Can't wait!

It's got the new hope glass eye & the empire strikes back rivets.....am I correct? I don't think it's got a bubble strip.

I'm not an expert, but it looks like the Anakin/Luke saber to me. Will be interesting to see just how it made it's way from Bespin for sure. I'm also reading speculation on other forums in regards to someone else talking during Luke's monologue. I don't hear, but others are saying it is there. I really didn't think I could be this excited for a Star Wars trailer after the prequels let did not meet my expectations. I'm so excited, that I am even watching the prequels with my son.

I don't know if this has been mentioned but it looks like the Falcon is flying into a crashed and upside down Superstar Destroyer at the end of the trailer??????

Never mind. I just saw the previous page.

Or an eye tuck! Something looks different there.

Yes, thank you. I thought I was the only one who noticed this since nobody has brought it up. I'm not crazy then. Wish they kept him OT style but I'm not complaining. Glad to have the duo back!

I really like the look of the new TIE pilots. It's too bad the red stripes on the front of the helmet are probably just reflections, I think that it would look pretty cool if those 2 big red stripes were actually part of the helmet. It's also interesting that they seem to be wearing modified Stormtrooper armor instead of just the helmet.

I think they might be stripes, actually. For one, they're placed perfectly symmetrical on the helmet, and even though there's very little movement, the stripes do seem to move with the helmet. I could be wrong, but I don't think so. I really hope that the suit is on display and somebody gets pictures in both high quality and quantity.

My suspicion is that the saber handoff scene from the trailer is a character who has found the saber and is giving it or selling it to someone. The character doing the handoff is definitely not human - maybe it's the Bespin equivalent of a Jawa, someone who has found the saber on the toxic surface of Bespin (or more likely, jammed into a crevice in an air vent somewhere on Cloud City) and sells it to Rey (or potentially Leia, if we're supposed to take the VO literally)?

The VO is most definitely brand new, meant to mirror the ROTJ scene. It's quieter and differently paced, with more nuance and weight, not to mention the "you have it too." Hamill did a great job matching it, though - keep in mind he's spent several decades building a terrific voice acting career. The reverb on his voice is intriguing though - is it taken from a scene where he's in an echoey place? Or is he more machine, now, than man?

As for Kylo Ren's saber, I love the idea that it's Vader's saber, damaged and repurposed, but after seeing the prop I'm thinking it's a relic that he's restored.

So glad I kept my glass eye when I built my ESB saber. Easy switcheroo!

The VO is most definitelynot brand new, it is verbatim from RotJ. Go ahead and watch that scene again and you will see. The "you have that power too" line is said before the other lines in the RotJ, which is most likely why most people are mistaking it for brand new dialogue.

Its definitely the same dialogue in a different order. If its lifted directly from ROTJ, then they've done things to make it sound different. Slowed it down, made it a bit deeper. Or Mark Hamill re-recorded it for this film and just does a damn good job since he's a talented voice over artist. Until we see the movie no one can say for sure.
