I don't think you understood what I said about ROTJ.I disagree with your ROTJ assessment. Ewoks were made due to how much more expensive would have been to do a Wookie planet.
Not sure what you and Guabe are upset about...if you go back to the point that the trailer was released you got immediate responses to the effect of "It looks awesome" etc. and some positiveness about the possibility of Plo Kloon. But not a single positive response? A huge majority of the responses from others deal with the effects of lighting, how it appears to them or it looking cheap etc. and they've given a detaied explaination of why they think the way they do. I've also noticed many who normally like the Disney stuff have also taking a disliking to how the trailer looks so i think it's been pretty balanced. If you are taking one persons comment and now pontificating to the forum in general, i think you are doing yourself and everyone else a disservice. Better off just quoting the person you have an issue with than generalizing...just food for thought. All the usual dead horse beaters are here to beat their dead horses. They’ve been saying they have been ‘done’ with SW for years but they keep watching new trailers, keep watching new movies/shows, keep complaining how much they hate them, and keep letting us know how dead SW is and how done they are with it- again, and again, and again, and again…..
…and again….
This thread is divided in pages, in that particular page (12) there were no positive comments; that was all. And I am not upset about it. I come here to discuss, that is what I am doing: Discussing. Not sure what you and Guabe are upset about...if you go back to the point that the trailer was released you got immediate responses to the effect of "It looks awesome" etc. and some positiveness about the possibility of Plo Kloon. Keep liking what you like but atleast be fair in your assessment. However, i totally agree with you about beating a dead horse. It's taking a while for me to think about things because i haven't commented in the entertainment section for some time now. No sense kicking Star Wars down and beating on it if it's dead already...i agree 100%. That is why i don't comment anymore. I obviously read things when they come up if i'm checking the junkyard or whatever. Only reason why i'm commenting now, not on the show, but on your comment is because i'm confused at why you made it. Maybe people who really like this stuff should just start commenting more on why they like it...it is a forum so make your talking points. If it's "awesome" then feel free to say why.
One of the things that has pushed me away from the forums is, other than the Star Wars content i just don't care for anymore, is this idea that we can just continue to throw spaghetti on the wall just in hopes that some of it might stick. I have probably been guilty of this too which is why i removed myself out of here. Taking breaks away from here and thinking back to where my heart was at the time i made my comments,i have come to realize that many of them were unproductive. Many were because i was angry at what i perceived they were doing to Star Wars or maybe frustration built up. In either case, i can level with your sentiment about the constant negativity but i can also level with those who have the attitude they have towards it. I guess another thing that provoked me to respond was, i believe it's one thing to criticize the content and it's another thing to attack people whether they like or dislike it. None of us should be taking things that personally. Have i been guilty of that? Yes, i have too so i'm not trying to be "holier than thou". It was obviously too much of a focus for me at that time but i'm just at a different place in life that i'm seeing things differently and it breaks my heart that we can't just have normal dialogue anymore without being offended so much. Life is short. I know i'm personally going to try harder at encouraging and edifying others and putting others first over myself and just take this content for what it is...it's entertainment...some like it , some don't. I really hope you like what you are paying for. May God Bless you.
probably not.I don't think you understood what I said about ROTJ.
ComplaintceptionYep, the complainers are here. And plenty of complainers about the complainers. Allow me to be the first to complain about the complainers who complain about the complainers. The circle is now complete.
Anyone game for a fourth level?
My apologies...It reads like you were upset and I didn't realize you meant " that specific page" and your comment didn't really add to the positivity of that page either... it " appeared" to go further downhill from that point..lol. Just my faulty observation I guess. I will move along. Continue to " discuss". Have fun. God bless. This thread is divided in pages, in that particular page (12) there were no positive comments; that was all. And I am not upset about it. That's awesome. No need to stress about entertainment. I'm grateful that atleast you find me hilarious. Lol. Humor can be a great coping mechanism to deal with pain...as I know far too well, but if you can put a smile on someone's face, that's great. Now, being a part of that group you speak of ,I have to clarify one point. I am not done with Star Wars because I now have been able to separate things in my mind. Since Star Wars ended in 1983( in my view) I still enjoy that so I'm not done with it. I don't believe Disney ruined Star Wars because they can't ruin the OT no matter how much they've tried. They ruined their own version of Star Wars in my opinion and their version is dead, yet still walking around lifeless like a zombie. Can you theoretically kill something that's already dead? Hmmm...So, just so we're clear, I'm in the camp of " Star Wars isn't dead and Disney could never ruin it." ...from a certain point of view as once said by a wise old Jedi. Lol.Oh I don't get upset about this stuff, I was just pointing out the obvious. Honestly I find the 'I'm done with Star Wars' people and the 'Disney ruined Star Wars' people totally and completely hilarious and I welcome their humor in these threads.

gotcha. ok cool.Nah, Ewoks were made because George had already established Wookiees as a technologically advanced race at that point, so he had to do something different by the time ROTJ came around. So he reversed Wookiee into Ewok and made them primitives, and short instead of tall. His original story outline was to have Wookiees be the primitive people that helped overthrow the huge technological Empire. But he didn't know if his first movie would be successful enough in order to make the other two, and he wanted an alien character that could interact with the main characters. And he really wanted to see a Wookiee, so Chewie became Han's co-pilot. (Possibly out of affection for his dog, whom Chewie I believe was partially based on) . He did want to see the Wookiee planet which is why he put it in the Holiday Special and ROTS.
And now he's happy. He's just gonna stand over here now bein' happy.
that makes perfect sense. The reason that I liked Andor was because it was story driven.
The reason that I felt Kenobi and the book of Boba Fett failed, is because they were character driven. What I mean by that is that they were selling the series based on who the characters were, and a story was secondary to that decision.

U forgot this oneThe Book of Boba Fett and Kenobi both both ultimately failed because there was not enough exciting “Bacta Tank Action (tm)”… I wrote a thesis on this, somewhere.
