STAR WARS - Skeleton Crew props & costume

Thanks for that! I started my own based off bigfred, and scaled it to about 350mm, so I am happy with it.
That sounds like well within the target given that last measurement. Now you just run with body scaling for your personal fit if for cosplay and not prop display.

Definitely going for a prop display, I certainly don't have the physique to imitate Jude Law!
I need to drop like 30 pounds, not fun, but height and shoulders couldn't be any closer so it is a full slog for me, the whole outfit. I am working on getting back to the gym where my daughter goes. Maybe cosplay will extend my life as a side benefit. Oh and the hairline, that is my hairline, first match since quigon. I just want to take this moment to thank the production team for NOT enhancing his hairline .... ;)

I just saw a comment yesterday about animatronics being just an extension of furbys.

I just don't want to find out that furby hearts are in the center of their chests...... dune dune dune. Wow, it works as its own ominous drumbeat as well. hehe

Hey all, I am claiming memory loss here but I am just so tired of looking back through every page to see if I posted this already. So this is the link I used to get Buissonland stl for the early in the series Jod blaster which I am calling his jailbreak gun, not the later pirate pistol. This print came out so easily and so accurate that after taking off my support trees, the suppressor threaded smoothly into the barrel. His build of same is far earlier in this thread above.

I wanted to add something new to this thread. After punching and handling hundreds of thousands of the forerunners of this prop I knew I would be recreating my own version. Who knew I would ever need bright yellow filament? Since I always try to gain some new skills or experience with each project, I chose to go with PETG. This is my first time using this type of filament and I have some learning and experimentation to go before I have a final result I am happy with. On the other hand, the bed side of the print came out almost flawless.

Modery can I bother you for one more cap of E5 around 38:50, please?

I wanted to get some opinions this. The replica in question has two areas in a very dark copper color and I think ALL the non-silver sections are the same gold and it’s just the lighting making the parts in question look darker.

Anyone feel free to give their input on this.

Here’s the sections I’m talking about…

And here’s the prop in the LFL showcase.

Normally I’d say it’s just wrong as the prop clearly is the same gold color on all pieces, yet it is possible that’s a stunt saber or something that was changed.

Is there any information on what colour that ignition switch is meant to be? There’s two other companies that have replicated it and all three seem to be different

Put this together from reclaimed trash, our shire has a curb side cleanup each year in February, amazing what people throw out and what you can find. I try to align any new projects around this time or year, save a lot of money. Had to compromise with a few pieces, still needs a little detailing and some weathering. I'm sure the younglings will enjoy it at our convention next weekend.

I’m all for kits, but the StarCode 10s are like $30. I want mine to work! I was hoping someone just made the front bits and a sticker.

If you have access to a 3D printer, my files for the conversion parts are linked at the bottom of this post:

I see Big Fred's Customs has just released some files of Jod's pirate blaster, not sure how accurate they are I've not researched them

Not super accurate- but pretty dang good based on availiable reference. The "gack" bits are a lot more complicated- especially in that pocket on the drum.

Fun Fact- this one was designed/built as just a generic "pirate-y blaster" for the pirate gang in Mandalorian S3 (you can see it in the shootout at the Nevarro school, the Weequay on the left side has it in his sash) and it got re-purposed for Jod in Skeleton Crew.

It was made from a REAL flintlock pistol- all the add on components and the barrel slots were machined by hand at the in-house prop shop.

I never realised how many "pirate-y blasters" there are in this scene! Looked at the one in the sash, and saw a few others that had a quite similar style. Also, thank you for the background information, very interesting!

Not real Binoculars. It is the recording device for the face capture for Neel when Robert was wearing the suit.
I'm very interested in this device. So many questions.
Is this a photo of the actual prop used?
Is this the real working recording device or is it a 3D print, pimped up with some greeblies?

This is the actual prop. It is a real recording device with a bunch of greebles added to it. There were two additional 3D prints and a rubber/stunt one as well.
There is also another piece on his belt that was the battery holder for the recorder.
