Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi (tv series)

Series was fine. But I really hope they will not make a season 2. This was enough. Final episode was the best, just let's not talk about how she got to Tatooine so fast and why they left her alive. Too many major errors and neglecting the past stories.

I mean Bail would have been better off calling Yoda... He's just chilling on Dagobah perfecting his snake stew recipe while Obi-Wan had a real job to hold down, let alone watching over Luke.

In fact, going AWOL for several days probably means he got canned from work. How's he going to feed that eopie now?!

Had to ignore all the posts until I could watch this. All of you had fun posting before I could!

”There are certain scenes in this fictional series some viewers may find upsetting”

Perhaps that should be displayed after the LFL logo on every movie going forward instead of the standard intro, in blue text…I would still cheer like it’s 1980 bahahahahahaha

…and Reva used the single blade/half circle as Hasbro/Celebration prototype - only Vader can create two blades, that’s my opinion and I am sticking with it.

Had to rewind the rock battle; the ‘Step Brothers burial’ bit was weak, but I liked the lightsaber battle.

Bravo Hayden, and James Earl Jones.

Lots of nice surprises. And surprisingly, no Din in the series. Will watch it again.

Jedi Rocks, remix?????? Vader dropped the bass on Kenobi!!!!

I'm glad this episode went in the direction it did in more ways than expected. Didn't save the series for me but I think it was the best episode.

Some more thoughts...

The gripe I have with choosing to leave him alive again is it's kind of a selfish and irresponsible move in a sense. It's basically letting Vader continue to commit atrocities on a massive scale for the Empire. Put the safety of others above your own needs, but then we wouldn't have ANH. Which is again why bringing them together is not a good idea to begin with.

It could be Obi Wan still feels Anaking would be the one, who would bring balance to the force, and it is not up to him to kill Vader ?

When I saw the finale I thought we could wrap it up here, and that would be ok too

So nobody is talking about the real "plot hole." (Note I haven't seen the episode yet. I'm going to watch it tonight. But I don't care about spoilers anymore.)
So Vader's mask is damaged. But isn't it lightsaber resistant? Per ESB Luke hits Vader and his lightsaber bounces off. Now we could say that maybe his helmet isn't lightsaber resistant yet. And this event makes him upgrade his suit. But it happens in Rebels too. Is Vader just arrogantly stupid? Am I being too nitpicky?

I see it more as a ‘million dollar shot’. 999 lightsaber strikes out of 1000 glance off but you hit it just right with just enough force and once the metal cracks the whole integrity is compromised.

The old saying “Don’t try to sort out the lies,it’s worse to try an understand.”

I'll purposely look the other way with the whole lightsaber vs helmet but i will reframe the anology. We can excuse the OT due to technological deficiencies but in these new series, if they are going to be able to do more with the force and and have greater array of offensive capabilities because of greater access to the technology then the defensive capabilities should also be greater as well. Vader took boulders to his suit and was fine but got hit with the pommel of a lightsaber to the chest and started to break apart? come on I get the Obi wan hit the chest box with the pommel but none of the boulders....dirt...stones managed to get through to his chest? Not the biggest deal in the world to me in comparison to the writing and continuity...we can always pick and choose what we want to irritate us (i'm guilty). I fully expected if Boba's gun got cut in half then why didn't people loose arms on the skiff? Tech issues? or just discretion due to young viewers? idk, they cut off an arm or hand in every OT movie so...like i said, not a deal breaker for me compared to the writing issues.
