Just as soon as I have the new prototype ready to mold, I'll do that.
I've begun carving the smaller (correct sized) version of the helmet. It'll take about 25 hours of run-time for the CNC to get all of the pieces whittled out and then I'll be assembling and smoothing it. I got a chance to visit the Power of Costume exhibit in New York a couple of weeks ago and snapped a ton of reference pics of the screen-used TIE pilot costume that was on display there. I'll be making a few minor tweaks to this second draft of the helmet in order to be the most perfect match I can make it.
In other news, it turns out that the chest boxes are pretty darned accurate to the one that was on display. Here's a snapshot of one of the sets of cast parts:
