Star Wars Andor (Disney+ TV series)

I'm worried because I am sure Luthen is a Jedi. There's no way in hell he's not a Jedi, but everyone has made such a big deal about this having no Force in it and no Jedi and no Sith blah blah blah blah blah. So I'm worried they're gonna wuss out and just say that the retractable walking stick with his crystal around his neck on a necklace was just nothing because they don't want to offend all the people who like the fact that this show doesn't have the Star Wars things in it.

It's kind of like a Smokey and the Bandit movie without any cool cars and car chases. Let's do a prequel on Smokey's Police Academy days and how he became the big chubby man we know and love.

Actually that sounds cool.

I really want Luthen and Palpatine to be brothers because they look so much alike and seem so much alike, but I know that the whole family thing has been done to death so that's why I made them friends in my fan fiction.

I'm also really disappointed because the U-Wing is one of my favorite Star Wars fighters ever and I'm not seeing it anywhere in this damn thing.

Yeah, I kind of have to agree with you about Andor. I enjoy it, but not as Star Wars material. It's missing some key Star Wars ingredients:
  • Magic (the Force/Jedi/lightsabers)
  • Color (everything is gray or otherwise monochrome)
  • Humor
  • Monsters
  • Clear moral boundaries
  • Romantic archetypes
  • Innocence and hope
  • Any sense of adventure at all
Again, I like Andor and look forward to Season 2. But for me, Star Wars it ain't.

That's why I like Andor. Because it exists outside of the the Skywalker saga. When I'm watching a Star Wars about Jedi etc then I want my light side light and my dark side dark. I want buckles to be swashed.

But away from all that? I want to see the gritty underbelly of the universe. But I want it portrayed in an intelligent way like Andor, not clumsily like Acolyte.

To me it's all still Star Wars but it's just different Points Of View™

Dude…you almost replicated the Lucasfilm story group “Star Wars Vision Board”….

You’re just missing the part about “Dinosaurs!”. ;)

I wasn't going to watch the trailer, but I am glad I did. For sure, the music definitely does not belong. I'm excited for this. It's being said the release schedule covers a year for each 3 episodes. Which makes sense because this is supposed to lead up to R1. I'm digging the armor, and what looks like the Shoretroopers E-11 blaster pistol , but in black.

As for Cassian's actions , and the hero being shown as a bad guy "Well, most of us, we've all done terrible things on behalf of the Rebellion. ". This is true in the real world too for some of our 'heroes'.

The trailer is so much better without the earth song.

Something I didn’t think I’d ever have to say.

I hope they keep it “adult” and please…please…please…DO NOT make Luthen a Jedi.

The moment laser swords and Sith show-up, the show has “jumped the shark”.

Than slap on the leather jacket, the life preserver, and point me in the direction of the speedboats and shark.

Luthen must be a Jedi. Then I want him to confront his evil twin brother, Sheeve Palpetine. After that their long lost sister Mon Mothma enters, who is also a secret Jedi. Then several extra Sith show up. Finally their father Darth Bane walks in.

Considering the franchise, I should have used “Rode the Vespa” vs “Jumped the Shark”…
