Star Wars Andor (Disney+ TV series)

Honestly the only character I found interesting in the first season was Luthen. I found the entire season incredibly slow, boring, and uninteresting.

I'm old school Star Wars, I like Jedi, Sith, Starfighters, but for the love of God enough Death Star already.

It dun got blowed up 48 years ago.

Having said that I'm glad fans have a series they really enjoyed even if I myself didn't find it that interesting.

It looks like season 2 is going to be much more fast-paced. As they stated it's gonna cover a lot of ground fast, but I personally would like to see a little more about Luthen and a little less about others.

Regardless I'm Star Wars' beeeoch so I'll be there watching.

Oh don’t get me wrong, I,’m all about old school star wars too. Saw ANH in the cinema aged 5 and have never fallen in love with anything quite as much since….BUT they’ve done Jedi and Sith…..to the rafters…and will continue to do so for sure. Andor and Mando s1 gave us a view into the dark corners of the galaxy away from the super powered big players, gods and monsters and told tales of the working men and women and how the big players games affected their lives. It harked back to the feelings I had at the beginning of ANH when it was a farm kid and a smuggler getting dragged into war. Gritty, used, partially rusted and somehow identifiable and that got me excited about Star Wars again.

I’m guessing the dance is at the wedding of Mon Mothma’s daughter as that would make sense and be appropriate in context.

Yeah although it's better than the chanting scene in the Acolyte, I'm not sure Mon Mothma selling her daughter into slavery is really what I was thinking of when I met her in 1983.

The rock music and endless pull quotes smells faintly of desperation on the marketing department's part. I'm sure they're not thrilled with the dropping streaming viewership numbers.

That music is horrible choice for a SW trailer, took me out of the 'verse bad. Had to watch it without sound. I assume that is just for trailer hype. Really ruined the experience for me. Nice to see lots of Rogue One characters.

Desperate times…

Yeah I understand that just like when Andor's first act in Rogue One is to murder one of his own people in absolute cold blood. In real life yeah he probably would've had to do that, but this is Star Wars where the heroes are the good guys and the Empire are the bad guys, and we don't murder innocent people.

We also don't murder unarmed people down on their knees begging for their life regardless of the situation like he did in the opening scene of the TV series. Seriously, this is our hero. We don't sell our children into slavery either.

If Star Wars is just gonna be like the real world and everyone just does all these scummy things what is the point? They're no better than the bad guys. That idiot General telling Andor to ignore the orders he's been given and to assassinate what's her face's father who built the Death Star, are you kidding me? What's the point of getting rid of the Empire. The Rebellion is just as bad.

The real world totally blows, but can we at least keep Star Wars good. That's what I love about Luthen. He acknowledges the bad things he's doing and it tears him up. Andor seems to have no problem murdering people on his side.

Luke is a worthless coward who runs away when things go bad.

Han is a douchebag absentee father who runs away when things get tough.

Indy is a down and out loser and is never redeemed, just b-slapped by someone and literally carried home.

Noticing a pattern here?

But, hey it's just me.

I was excited for this after the first season, but have been completely turned off of any new SW since then. I'm on the fence whether I will watch it or not.

Sorry, I am having a bad day and tired of heroes being portrayed as scum.

I'm worried because I am sure Luthen is a Jedi. There's no way in hell he's not a Jedi, but everyone has made such a big deal about this having no Force in it and no Jedi and no Sith blah blah blah blah blah. So I'm worried they're gonna wuss out and just say that the retractable walking stick with his crystal around his neck on a necklace was just nothing because they don't want to offend all the people who like the fact that this show doesn't have the Star Wars things in it.

It's kind of like a Smokey and the Bandit movie without any cool cars and car chases. Let's do a prequel on Smokey's Police Academy days and how he became the big chubby man we know and love.

Actually that sounds cool.

I really want Luthen and Palpatine to be brothers because they look so much alike and seem so much alike, but I know that the whole family thing has been done to death so that's why I made them friends in my fan fiction.

I'm also really disappointed because the U-Wing is one of my favorite Star Wars fighters ever and I'm not seeing it anywhere in this damn thing.

Trailer looks good. I'm looking forward to it more than I have anything Star Wars related in a long time. They should probably give Tony Gilroy a movie.

Yeah with that music i have a feeling that trailer was trying to reach outside the main current audience. They know they got more eyes on the show when it went on other services for a time and because of the praise, theyre trying outside the box. Im sure we'll get a story trailer soon with a more traditional feeling. But yeah that music threw me off too.
