Star Wars Andor (Disney+ TV series)

I keep waiting for them to film in Dawlish, it's just had a very Brutalist concrete sea wall added which would fit right in to the Andor aesthetic..

Do people still care about steelbooks? The last ones I got were, I think the first two Nolan Batman flicks, and then it struck me that this was not really worth the extra money because it sat in a cabinet with a door anyway (i.e., not much of a "display piece.")
I kinda do. Well, maybe not specifically steelbooks, but something other than the standard plastic case. For the films and records that really matter, the physical object has some value, as an artifact. I like that some bands insisted on releasing cardboard digipacks instead of plain plastic CD sleeves when vinyl went out of favor. (The last time I released a record, back in the late 90s, we actually printed a full cardboard "mini gatefold" for the CD... just like the big ones for vinyl.) At least steelbooks can more easily be made to have some "personality" to them, unlike the regular plastic sleeves. With those, I might as well just keep the disc in a binder with a hundred others.

I do. If it's something I like, I think it is worth skipping a couple of cheeseburgers for an upgrade to steelbook.

Generally no, but they’re the only way Disney is releasing their series so in this case, yes.

No. No physical media at all.

My son does. He has a whole collection of them, the last one was Andor, and Dune 2 is supposed to be out next week. I asked him and he said:

“If I like it enough to buy, I'll get the 4k disc version every time. Video quality is night-and-day better than streaming, but a very big margin.

I get the steelbook versions just because I think they're neat. I don't buy disc very often, so when I do it's just kind of a little pomp and circumstance with it. They look nicer on the shelf but it otherwise doesn't add any real value. I just like having them”.

Where the hell are the Fondor Haulcraft models and toys?

That ship is badass and a real great addition to SW.

Sorry, but Disney hates Andor
