Potential Kanan clone then?Marrok from Arthurian myth, was a knight that was turned into a werewolf.... This show is drawing heavily on pagan/neopagan myths.
It was a filler episode because basically nothing happened. We did not get closer to anything in the storyline. We did not get any new information. They just filled some gaps.Agreed, my complaint on this episode was regarding how short it was and felt. This is not a "filler" episode because we are not deviating form the main story and have advanced in 3 areas, Sabine's training and bonding with Ahsoka, Republic awareness bout thrawn and their dismissal of such, and and the setup for Baylan and Ahsokas confrontation.
What I am most excited about is the new Galaxy, I really do hope this can be explored a lot more in future movies or shows. This expands the Star Wars sandbox a lot more and they might even brging back some EU. Could the Skeleton crew be from this other Galaxy?
Possibly, or maybe they found somewhat bring his body back or something. Or Dave it's all a Red Herring, and Dave just likes wolves....Potential Kanan clone then?

I didn’t think there were earth shattering developments, and its true that we, as audience, saw some stuff we knew or expected. So I get what you are saying. However, we ended last episode with them placing a tracker on the ship and not sure what the villians were up to. In this episode they followed that plot line by traveling to the tracker location and learning what the villians were building, while surviving an attack and crash landing on the nearby planet. It was a filler episode because basically nothing happened. I'd have to agree with that.I didn’t think there were earth shattering developments, and its true that we, as audience, saw some stuff we knew or expected. So I get what you are saying. Sabine also continued training, which will be important as we expect her to face off against Shin again next episode. If she defeats Shin, or even does better than last time, the training portion will help justify that change. I mean, Lukes bulk of time in EP5 was exactly this, learning about the force and training, and that was some of my favorite stuff.
It was a short episode and definitely not the most jam packed with developments, but I thought it still moved forward naturally. I guess I think of filler episodes as deviating from the main plot. Like if Ahsoka and Sabine traveled towards the tracker and this episode had them stopping at some random planet on the way to help with a distress call.
Wouldn’t it make sense as a typical training method though? Both Obi-Wan and Ahsoka were trained at the Jedi Temple, so I assumed this was a typical training exercise. We also see younglings doing this (in RotS I think).Well they ripped off…er, “paid homage” to a scene from Star Wars so not a total loss, I guess?

And besides, I got way more Matrix training vibes from it. If Ahsoka yelled at Sabine “Stop trying to hit me and hit me” it would have felt appropriate. Lol

Yeah, I agree that the original intention when the OT was released was Obi-Wan just being resourceful.Yeah, kind of like “paint the fence”, “wax on / wax off”, and “sanda floor” are standard training techniques seen in all karate films.
I always took it that Obi Wan was just immediately inspired to adapt the blast shield helmet seen in the Falcon to teach a lesson vs. blast shield helmets being standard training equipment for Jedi.
I think the reason Ahsoka used the bokken instead of a training saber (if she even has one), was more of a storytelling choice, because Kanan & Ezra both trained Sabine with basically sticks. That was where she learned the forms she was practicing.
& also the training remotes are now Jedi training remotes, it’s laughable when you see Kids in the prequels & Obi Wan series with big helmets & training remotesYeah, I agree that the original intention when the OT was released was Obi-Wan just being resourceful.
I’ve only watched some parts of the 3 episodes, really just skimming through just to see some of the ILM model worki wanted this show to be good..
so far all Ahsoka can do is fold her arms and be uninteresting. That could be a euphemism for the whole cast.
Actually, Chopper and Huyang are the best part of this show.
For me this is a 3/10 so far. The worst episode of Mandalorian was better than all of these.
You could have this on in the background and not miss anything. I dont think one episode has been better than the others.
This feels like a fan film with better CG. Actually, i have seen better fan films.
