Star Wars Ahsoka (tv series)

I love the part when he points out this guy as a guard, and how does he except to grab his gun

Well they ripped off…er, “paid homage” to a scene from Star Wars so not a total loss, I guess?

Oh those sweet, sweet ‘member berries…

At least a couple more scenes than that

The Darth Maul surveillance scene on Tatooine

It also felt like the whale scene and space fight scene evoked both the Asteroid chase scene in ESB and the escape from the Death Star scene in a New Hope with the music as well as some of the shots

always took it that Obi Wan was just immediately inspired to adapt the blast shield helmet seen in the Falcon to teach a lesson vs. blast shield helmets being standard training equipment for Jedi

& also the training remotes are now Jedi training remotes, it’s laughable when you see Kids in the prequels & Obi Wan series with big helmets & training remotes

The helmets aren't a problem, the Jedi version doesn't resemble Luke's helmet at all. Its the training remote thats the problem, even in ANH taken alone. Why is there one on the falcon, and what is it's non Jedi purpose? Is this a common thing to use for blaster target practice? You put your blaster on low power and try to hit the remote without getting hit yourself?

According to the NPR Radio Drama (which is now non-canon but still amazing), that's exactly the case. Solo uses the remote for target practice and evasion. That drama was written by Brian Daley, and he had a huge influence on Star Wars lore in the late 80s/early 90s.

Yeah but the brief training that Ben gave Luke was to try & convince him that there was a 'Force' & it was within him,....to shut his eyes & let the Force guide him,....a first intro to the Force
But now the helmet that they can't see what's going on is essential training, all part of it,....

I thought the remote was a security device that Han had, like a drone, something that you can use to practice shooting, but also leave it to roam the ship when its empty

Wouldn’t it make sense as a typical training method though? Both Obi-Wan and Ahsoka were trained at the Jedi Temple, so I assumed this was a typical training exercise. We also see younglings doing this (in RotS I think).

Can you imagine how many Younglings perished on Day 1 of Lightsaber 101 with everyone slashing aimlessly left and right with their blast visors down...

I think the most valid points it brings up is the difference in directing cartoons vs live action and that not translating well

I also will not be able to unsee the arm crossing stuff now. Maybe turn it into a drinking game every time one of the characters crosses their arms?

Definetly not a show for everyone. But I stay away from rant videos like that one. It's Star Wars and some times its good some times its bad... its ok to criticize and complain but when you start to hate something, maybe you should go watch something else instead?. Like this thread is more of a bashing the show than discussing its story. Im out.

That's what happens... Lots of "I don't like this"-type, opinion-based nitpicks, but genuine criticism is few & far between.

I also don't get making the death knell declarations when you're 2-3 chapters into an 8-10 chapter book. I know that both WandaVision & Moon Knight were crapped on when they started, but both turned into probably the best storytelling in recent MARVEL.

I get it though... I held out how 6 for BoBF until the last episode, THEN I decided they'd dropped the ball with the opportunity.

Well said. I’m not interested in rant videos either. Sadly, so many exist because outrage sells better than thoughtful analysis. It’s much easier to do too.

It’s definitely not for everyone, and I had a lot of criticism early on, but have warmed up to it since then and hope it continues. So I am definitely open to discussing the show good or bad, but when it gets just hateful, I’m not interested in participating.

I'm not a big fan of Rant Videos either, just found that Robot Head video to be exactly in tune to how I see this show

Plus, he's pretty humourous

Because women aren't known for changing their hair style. :D

Or clothes

I think the age thing is the continuity. Mon Mothma is looking older in the ROTJ one then she did in Rogue One and ROTS, but in the Andor and Ahsoka she looks the same

in Ahsoka, she should looks at least what, like 30 years older from the Revenge of the Sith time frame, but in Ashoka she doesn't look a day older than Andor/Rogue one

i.e. I can see a natural age progression from ROTS to R1 to ROTJ

Andor and Ahsoka seems the oddity, with Ashoka being really off
