I kind of expected this. Being like Season 5. I would not draw any conclusions of this show till the season is over.
Yeah, I expected it would start strong. Filoni directs EP1 and Steph Green directs EP2. Steph Green did that one amazing episode of Book of Boba Fett with the Tuskens (EP2). For whatever I think of BoBF as a whole, that single episode was incredible.
Im not sure what the general feeling is about Rebels on here, but I loved it. I say that as someone that typically doesn't care for animation. So Im completely okay with it being a continuation of Rebels. I just hope it makes sense to people who didn't watch it.

Same. It feels too familiar to the hype and disappointment for the other shows. But I will say that Filoni wrote this entire series and all of the episodes he wrote for live action stuff has been solid. I didnt love his S1 Mando episode, but other than that he hasn’t had disasters.
That may just be me coping though. I had similar reasoning for why I thought the other shows would be good. Lol.
1 more day I have to live off the internet.. my kids meet up with me on Friday nights for a watch party
What one did he write? I know he directed 2 I think in season 1
From everything I have read here is what he's done in live action:
- Mandalorian S1: He directed EP1. He also wrote and directed EP5. The one with the wannabe Han Solo guy.
- Mandalorian S2: He wrote and directed EP5, the Ahsoka episode.
- Book of Boba Fett: He wrote and directed EP6. The one with Luke.
- Mandalorian S3: He wrote EP4 and EP7. EP4 was the Grogu rescue one, and EP7 was probably the best of the entire season, where they first land on Mandalore.

From what I've experienced, you have the people that don't know/refuse to comprehend the difference between 'animation' & 'cartoon'. They usually haven't given it a chance, but I can't think of anyone that's actually watched REBELS that didn't love it.
I've said it before & I'll die on this hill, but, ANIMATION IS A MEDIUM, NOT A GENRE!
Then you have the Filoni haters, the "OT ENDED STAR WARS" purists, the Mickey Mouse is the Antichrist folks, all of which have valid points, but a lot of them just haven't given it a chance.
When Ahsoka starts in with the top spin on the sabers you know IT IS ON.
