Star Wars Ahsoka (tv series)

.
So no CGI 3PO

Probably not. But I find that bright lighting (maybe due to the Volume) with a perfectly mirror finish suit doesn‘t work well. The reflections all over the other actors was awful and the background and set seem too bright in the reflections. We didn’t see this at the end of ANH or in ROTS because they were more dimly lit.

Ahsoka seems to have a stash of lightsabers if he really wanted a saber. He could also probably make a new one.
New Rockstars (or maybe it was Screencrush -- my boys want to watch ALL the breakdowns on YouTube) put out a video with the idea that one reason Ezra refused the saber was so that he could show off how powerful he is without it, but also that Thrawn may have Kanan's saber (we are not sure, but it was recovered by the Empire after Kanan's sacrifice, sort of as a trophy for Thrawn -- we just don't know whether he actually took possession of it) and if so, it may be "calling" to Ezra. And with the Rebels crew having a history of infiltration in disguise -- especially Ezra, who never passes up an opportunity to pose as a stormtrooper -- we might see them, or at least him, go after it.

And they just happen to have some stormtrooper armor lying at their feet at the end of this most recent episode …

I also think that being stranded for years he got used to be more in tune with the force and with no saber practice he would be rusty
He has clearly been practicing how to push people four feet away!

I just hope we get some closure in the final episode with at least one plot line. It feels like this entire series was set up for something we will inevitably wait years for return on.

That didn't look like cgi. The way the light played off of the suit looked way too naturally complex for an animator to spend the needed time it would take to simulate, if simulating is even possible.

Besides, why cgi it when there's probably multiple suits that are still perfectly usable? That mocap shot of Daniels must have been for something non live-action.

If it was cgi, that's impressive.
