Some of the loudest complainers in this thread have said they didn't even watch the show, and when people don't agree with what their emotional diatribes, they throw a tantrum and ignore users so they can stay in their safe bubble.

Are there legitimate issues SNW's, sure. But no one is engaging in any rational discussion in this thread anymore due to the vitriol of a few members who hate anything not TOS, and want to call people names, and parade about their political ideologies.

(You see, what our six-year-old friend doesn’t realize is that pengbuzz, as stated above, is blocking emojis, and therefore can’t actually see that spiteful and pointless laughing emoji. But to realize that would require actually reading pengbuzz’s post, rather than jumping off the deep end due to an emotional overreaction.)

Well, hey, gee, there's that moronic "Project Khan" that they worked into the end of the second season to try and link Khan Noonien Singh and the ancestors of Noonien Soong, so...
 
So a few weeks back I was sent a survey from Paramount+ asking a multitude of questions regarding Strange New Worlds. The questions ranged from how the new characters were perceived to how classic characters were portrayed. There were questions about effects, about the episodes, how far in to the series did I last before I abandoned it and why. I answered it, giving my thoughts and opinions, though I'm not sure what the purpose of it is. They've already started season 2, so it's not like they're going to make changes now. I don't know if they're just trying to find any semblance of justification for what they're producing, or if they've honestly heard the growing discord. My biggest issues with the show are the lack of decorum on the bridge, or anywhere on the ship really, and what is called the writer's room, but should actually be called the stolen ideas room.

I got that survey too. I started to take it and one of the first questions was to list my three favorite TV shows. I said The Mandalorian, Loki and The World according to Jeff Goldblume. Then I got a pop up that said I wasn't the demographic that they were looking for and the survey shut down!
 
I'd rather not sully the thread on Nichelle Nichols' passing, so I'll just say this here:

Kurtzman and his band of clowns can shout from the rooftops all they want with their false claims about breaking race/gender barriers with their shows' casting, but none of them will ever exhibit the grace, dignity, and intelligence of Ms. Nichols. She really and truly DID break barriers, and during a time of great civil unrest, at that. As opposed to today's virtue-signaling mewling from entitled elites, which is a joke, by comparison.

I do not look forward to the inevitable flood of parasites coming in to leech off of the news of her death.

Wow, you went out of your way to use the death of a legend to dunk on Kurtzman and you want to call other people parasites?
