There's a lot to like about SNW, but their Kirk seems like Vancouver casting gone wrong. Re-making Balance of Terror was a huge mistake.

SNW should kill off Kirk. It would be the quickest way to define that series as an alternate timeline.

I think there is a reason as to the casting choice they made for Kirk.

Pike is clearly intended to be the prime captain in this series. This being the case, I think they are being very deliberate in ensuring that the actor playing Kirk is no equal to Pike in either physicality or charisma.
