Star Trek movie (2009) tricorder - Playmates toy version

Well I finally got my set a few days ago.

The Phaser is OK, but it could have been allot better. To much chrome! :eek

The Communicator is a major disappointment. Kirk says one phrase, Spock says one phrase...that's it. Also the lid is very loose...but it does come with this "very cool looking" holster :rolleyes

The Tricorder on the other hand is very cool! Seven sound effects and lots of blinking lights :thumbsup The only crappy thing is the cheap sticker. Mine has two curled corners :thumbsdown
I think I might take it apart and see if it's possible to modify that area with a small bulb and a new screen made of clear plastic :confused

One thing to note: the tricorder WOULD say "Tricorder" on it.

You know, I have to comment on how many steps back we're taking with this Tricorder. so many stickers XD I really think I'd like to have seen more molded details. I can't imagine those stickers holding up for a long period of time. Anyone still owning old G-1 Transformers knows that even not touching the stickers is no indication that the glue won't wear out and let go.
