Done / Completed Star Lord Quad Blasters (Guardians of the Galaxy)

Hi, This hydro carbon dipped thingy, might you be considering adding it to the options list for kit blasters? It might be good if you were to offer such an option.....(obviously within the reasonable price range).
 
On a different note, these blasters look a bit similar to those used in Disney's "The black hole". I saw a kit up for sale on ebay a while back. Does anyone here know where I can get one of these as it was always my favourite sci-fi gun, apart from dredd's mk1 lawgiver(really early 2000ad's).

Quick update, I've got the first half of all the two part molds done. Tonight I should be able to pour the second halves
 
Some of the first test casts! I'm just using an older, cheaper resin for these, so there are some bubbles that I don't anticipate being there once I actually start casting.

The main top and bottom molds are still curing, and I need to pick up a little more silicone to thicken them up a little too. I will say, casting those pieces will not be easy!
 
I'm going to pick up more silicone and some resin tomorrow, so I should have more pictures to show Tuesday :thumbsup
 
Molds are all done and I was able to do some test casting today. The grip came out perfect with minimal flashing! I still need to tweak my technique on the bigger pieces, but I am very happy with how the molds turned out :)

I'll let everyone know when I'm ready for payments :thumbsup

Nice job on the blasters Kevin! As for the helmet, might be able to help with that soon. Maybe we can do a trade :D
 
First cast of the top main section... Cold cast looks great! The mold shifted ever so slightly around the seam, so I need to tweak the pressure my bands have on the mold during casting. Other than that I am pretty happy right now!

I'm going to do a cast of the bottom piece tonight so I can get one assembled and figure out shipping costs. I'll start taking payments soon :)
