Re: Star Lord Helmet and Map Projector **UPDATE 12-3 RUN #2 TAKING DEPOSITS**
Hey thanks everybody. We spent our holiday season driving all over the midwest between families and are finally settling back into our routine. Work continues on the run and I'm getting close to halfway through it. Thanks for everyone being patient during a rather unexpected busy couple of weeks. Kits are wrapping up and finished pieces are getting very close. Updates on those to come.
I sent you a PM a while ago, but do not show that I ever got put on the interest list for the map projector. What is the status on the map projectors?
Sorry about my slacking big time on the projectors. I've been toying with a couple front plate designs to try and help with people installing their own electronics etc., and I've sent a couple orders out to try to get some feedback about them. Seems like so far the original design is the way to go, so I'll probably just send it out with that design. I'm just a stickler and keep trying new things before I do the run. Now I'm, what, a couple months overdue and this is become vaporprops, so I just need to get to it. Once I'm done with the helmet run I'll get on it and start taking payments etc for those. Sorry again about dragging my feet. And that reminds me I need to get the interest lists updated.
As for the chin pipes, I just wrapped up a little mold of some pieces. I was using some thin insulated cable for mine, kind of like on a game controller, but couldn't get it to bend to the right shape. Anyway I know I've sent out a bunch of kits, and if you've already gotten one and would like these I suppose I could just drop a couple in an envelope for you, at least for US folks. I'd have to check the postage for an overseas letter.
These are straight out of the mold without the sprue/flash cut off or filled
After I trimmed the bottom opening and cut the top open I was actually able to fit my helmet on without needing to cut it into 2 pieces. Not sure if anyone else was able to, it might just be that I have a tiny head though :lol

Wow that's crazy. My melon is in there pretty snugly. That would be so much easier. What are you using for padding?
Okay, back to the molding bench!
