Yes that's a gun, and I know I got it, already saw this part in one of my boxes, just cant find it ! I wanted to save some myself some time 
As for the first part, just found it, well actually it's from a sistership because it's a bit different

Ok I finally found the right part :
I was needing two parts but there is only one in a kit. Fortunatly, Ive bought the wrong kit which was the new tooling, fortunatly only a few parts were retooled and not this one ! So I have those 2 parts (finally buying the new tooled version was not a total loss).

I was wondering what kit the gun turret sitting on top of part #6 comes from and also where does part # 6 come from in the picture below. Thanks for the help.

Scharnhorst for the turret and Hood for part #6 but all the answers are in this thread...
I think that gun is from the Tamiya FLAK 38
