SS Buck Rogers Starfighter

Just now got my Thunderfighter. Beautiful castings. Can't wait to get started on this baby. :)

Bill

P.S. What are the little cone things that are cast with the pilot?

Sorry to meddle, but I couldn't take the misspelling in the thread title a second longer, so I fixed it. I need help, I know.... :lol

Mine just arrived, it's a beauty.. Steve, thank you for allowing me to get in on one of these, I love it. George, thank you as well. You did a great job helping Steve on this .

Steve

Mine was broken off to but in once place it was an easy fix also .. Steve, you guys might want to pack these a little better.. I had a big hole in my box when it arrived.

Working on it.. :D

I got my canopy cleaned up and ready to prime.

I forgot, what are the differnt colored ED circles for, different squad, Buck, Willma?

Lynn

Mine is all sanded and ready for primer... Gonna start this weekend. Will there be a decal instruction sheet eventually? I have no idea where all the small decals go.

Hi Lynn and All, we included both black and a dark blue ED logo's. We could not find out which one was correct. So, I included both. Enjoy.
George :D

Lynn, I found that most of the little markings came from the 1/24 Harrier kit. That was months AFTER I drew them and while I was looking through decals for the SS projects I'm working on.

Hey,

Can one still get in on getting one of these?

If so, whats the turn around time and such.

I'm interested. Who do I contact?

Gang,

That Brasil Starships is a nice site, and I do not know who did that build up but it is a nice one. The only REAL SS photo on that site is the side view with the text "real model". The rest look pretty accurate, but no guarentees. Your mileage may vary blah blah blah.

Try THIS site for some Studio scale goodness. And don't bother trying to contact Mr Larson, been there done that, whats on the site is what he's got. Not very good pics, but they help more than you think since they are the real deal, which is uber tough to find.

Steve has converted my initial instructions to PDF, and should be posting them soon. Note that this is the Beta version, not finalized yet, and is only concerned with physical assembly. The paint guide and decal guide are still being worked on. I'm trying to finalize the assembly guide with some new pics and get the paint guide finished along with color reccomendations, but it takes time. In the meantime, let me suggest an overall *light* primer guide coat, and clean up any issues you may have.

Brian,

Drop Steve (swpropmaker) or George (saintg) a line. I think we still have one ready to ship, so turn around would be minimal. If not, I'm casting this weekend so think 1-2 weeks?

Guys, I ordered new custom boxes and will use cardboard to keep the starfighter from sliding back and forth. Thanks for the heads up.

Steve

IT HAS ARRIVED... :D

I must say...VERY well packed too. :thumbsup :thumbsup

I haven't taken the bubble wrap off, but can tell that it is in one piece and the detail is very nice. What a HEAVY BEASTIE this is. :eek

I will ship this out to Bob (Hand Solo) soon for build-up. His plate is quite full.

Thank you Steve. And a BIG thanks to your partners on this.

GREAT JOB... :thumbsup :D :thumbsup

Man... I can tell you "I got my kit fast." is much better than "where is my order" posts. To bad I cant get 4000 hits on the good news.
