This was a small prop, a fun thing that didn't take too much time.
I've always loved the 1984 movie, The Last Starfighter.
It is a story with heart, not to mention two veteran A-list actors having the time of their lives hamming it up.
And the soundtrack by Craig Safan rivals anything John Williams or Howard Shore has written.
(The remastered complete ST (CD) s available from INTRADA.)
Anyway I've always wanted the license plate for my car.
The Rylos Plate is available at several collectibles stores and on Amazon.
But as someone (on Reddit I think) mentioned, "it isn't really the prop without the tags", with which I agreed.
So I got a couple of the plates and made the tags.
It's on my car (and yes, with the frame that has a very recognizable quote by anyone who has seen the movie
)
The tags may not be 100% accurate (especially the OCT tag), but they are close enough and I'm happy with it.
It is good enough that someone across the the parking lot who saw it called out "Victory or Death!"
