SS Betty (Alien Resurrection)

Thanks Clay.

Another update, made a disposable concrete mold for a vac pattern. took original pattern waxed it, one layer of tooling concrete let set up. then remove pattern re wax mold. next pour more concrete reinforced with burlap let set up and remove. and you have a solid piece of tooling concrete you can use for a Vacuum pattern that will out last anything else. only thing to remember is let the concrete fully dry before you use it. Also total cost for the mold. under $2.00

Also Jason finished Lathing the small part for the main Cargo box.

Thanks for looking.

then in the picture sent from the phone! Looking sweet
man nice!:thumbsup

Thanks Guys.

Almost have the Cargo box done. still needs the grating on top, which will be laser cut. (soon as i draw it out.) Also the quote for the Cone was to much to justify having done. so started on it the model makers way. cut the cross sections out and will fill with foam and then Vac form to get the parts i need, then ill mold it in Silicone. I broke it up into two parts so it will be a sharper part instead of forming it as one and lose the detail at the Base.

Thanks for looking.

I'm really impressed.
You should publish a graphic magazine book of 'Making of Betty'
It's worth for that.

Al-san, may I ask, what is that urethane expanding form usually used for ?
Is it for construction material or something.

Katsu, its for Pattern making. also for Aircraft and boats. or just used to fill holes in walls. theres many different uses for it. I like it for making crazy vac patterns.

No not finished yet, one day after this one. I noticed the guy on RI building one using my pics for his build. He should get pics of the finished parts. He is building off my unfinished parts pics.
