Agreed, pictures of this movie's costumes are so hard to come by. I don't want to wait until it's released on DVD.

Ok this link lets you watch the first 7 minutes of the movie (was an attempt to get more people hooked and into the theater). The white/blue jacket is about 4:10 into the trailer.

This link features about 39 stills which are some nice eye candy but not large enough to really do any justice.

Wonder how many Hot Wheels tracks they played with when making the track layouts for movie. At least the above trailer shows the reason behind the Mach 6 (the rollercoaster/Hot Wheels tracks).

Does anyone know if that doll's pants are designed the way the movie version was?? My guess is that they just patched the leather because you couldn't get the pants on the doll if it didn't have some stretch. But if it is accurate from the movie - that's very interesting...

Also, I like that Trixie costume, but I don't remember when in the movie she wore it.

Angelus' thread about his Mutt costume for KOTCS reminded me to post these suckers from my IMAX opening of Speed Racer!

I'm the "Pops" of the group. (And happy to say that I'm not yet John Goodman sized. Forgive the inaccuracy. :lol)

I made my buddies speed shirt from scratch; turned out pretty well I think!

Did you use a certain pattern for making that? I'm new to sewing myself and don't know if I could just "wing it".

I just took apart an old polo shirt and used it as a pattern.

I have received e-mails, but noone has been able to get better images of this yet. I was hoping someone would be able to go back to that theatre and get some clearer photos. Anyone???

There are some other shots of the Taejo Togokahn dragon costume. It looked like leather in the movie, but this shot of it looks very much like canvas/cotton. The image is painted on. Amazing close up in there...

I watched the movie again over the weekend at a hotel and tried to snap some images of the screen. They all came out pretty crappy... and not much more than what we've seen in trailers.

One shot I got that is very helpful is a back image of Racer X with the X on the back of his hoody thing... I'm not sure which costume to start first... BUT I am leaning towards dressing Trixie up in the Taejo Togokahn costume... just because I want to try my hand at that dragon. *L*
