Saw these costumes displayed at the local cinema and snapped these pictures with my phone. Thought some of you guys might be interested. Check them out.

Any idea what Racer X is made out of? Speed looks like a leather jacket, but I can't make out the second one.

Could dress up one of my nieces as Trixie, if the costume is decent enough.

The racer X costume is all leather. I read an interview with Matthew Fox where he said it was unbearbly hot and uncomfortable.

Hey, thanks. Poor Matt. :lol I'll make something comfortable for the kids, if they buy into it. Big "IF"... my youngest said he wants to be a penguin again. :unsure

Oh my! She's 7 so I'll have to think if it's appropriate. I bet she'd look adorable though...

Better pix would be very much appreciated - though I'm sure there will be still shots from the movie out before I'd need to start working on the costumes, so only do it if you need an excuse to go again.

This is not the same jacket as the one above, but I like this one wayyyy better. Hope DAVID, Magnoly or Wested is watching this thread. That'd be a sweet movie jacket to have.

Ah, I see the differences now. I like it a lot as well.

Talked to my older son, he's into the idea of being Racer X. Now to work on my little "Speed". Neither of them seem too interested in seeing the movie when it comes out. They say the commercials just don't look enough like the 'real thing'... meaning the cartoon!

I'll force them to go. I'm the mother after all. They must listen to me. :angel :lol

I saw the movie last night. Even then, his racing outfit changes throughout the movie, so I guess you'd need to pick which one you wanted to do.

(Good movie, though. :thumbsup )

I've got $500-$700 for Indy Magnoli or Davidyr1 or anyone who wants to do the Racer X jacket and mask in a size 44 regular and a 7 3/8" hat size.

they had these costumes in Toys R us in NYC last month with the car mock up. THey are both leather and very cool looking. Any one notice at the end of the movie the shot of Fox with his belly sticking out through the leather!!!! Funny....so I gues when he says uncomfortable....he means hard to hide anything in LOL

I saw it twice. I was hesitant as I've been a huge fan since I was a toddler and the "W" Brothers did it justice. Love the costumes and would love to see the blue one he wears in the opening sequence. I'd even wear the red socks too!
