Hi guys, I just have a question for those of you who make and sell their creations. Im currently making a face hugger and am thinking of doing a run if enough interest but I'm a bit stuck on how much to sell them for, May I ask how you calculate a price? Now i know one answer is well how much is your time worth ect... but how much is too much, each one i make is quite involved, can check out my posts on profile, I won't know if this is viable until I have a finished product at the moment it all seems to be going well just gotta figure out a paint scheme, but yeah how much is too much for 'my' face hugger, full size bendable legs, if you check out my posts you might see my animatronic build, this one is just for me, I'll only be making static ones in latex. Any input will be appreciated. Thx.

Every prop replica's value varies wildly by scarcity and popularity of its IP, and even seasons sometimes. You'll need to do you homework like the rest of us.

For example, the NECA foam face hugger is all over the internet for a little more than $100. You'll have to decide not only how much better yours is, but how unlikely people are going to be to decide the NECA one is "good enough" for the money.

My suggestion: Finish your prototype, take some AWESOME pictures, try a dollar value in this interest thread, and see how many people express interest! Start high-ish and work your way down if you have to. Do NOT go the other way.

Hey astyanax, yes I have seen those foam ones up close and not really impressed, they just don't look t real, to me anyways. Some great advice, it is hard I feel as i feel that the stuff made in these forums are easy way better than the mass produced stuff in shops, will deff get some nice pix when finished, thx heaps for your comments :)
