Space 1999 Eagle Transporter Build Club (PIC HEAVY!)

Very sorry to hear that Darren, as for Bob does anyone have his IRL contact info? I hope he is ok.

Bob is fine, greylocke, thanks for asking! :)
I've had issues of my own lately, what with my dental work, and having been let go of my last job on account of it (I can just hear them at work now: "Where's Bob been? He was a good worker...nice guy, too. How come they let him go?" "Because he had a toothache." :unsure) The job was pretty good, but their stringent policies were reminiscent of something between high school and prison. Ah, well...the modern corporate structure.:thumbsdown

I'm supposed to be starting my new job any day now, so I've been a bit pre-occupied with surviving till then. Then, my Eagle build will resume. Like crackerjazz says, it can be tough modeling when issues are on your mind.

I'm very sorry to hear about your situation, Darren. Would that I could do something to help. You know how to contact me if there is anything.

Darn life, anyway...when did simply living it become so difficult? :confused

Errhrrrmmmm I think one of us needs to win the lotto and open a special colony for Prop Artists. Got a prob? No prob come on down, bring your builds with you, there is your cabana with it's attached workshop, it has a lovely view of the clothing optional beach. Over there is the large shop with our vacuum formers and a full tool room, this building here is our supply house as you can see we had to borrow a few artifacts from Warehouse 13 , from the outside it looks like a simple garden shed, inside it covers 20 acres, please no Tardis jokes, the Warehouse agents don't like that show for some reason. Over there is the garage where you can work on any vehicle project you might have, just please watch out when using the welders, use your PPP gear, so many people have set themselves on fire or lost their eyebrows. Down that path there is Tom Spina's cell, yes that's right cell, we had to kidnap him and we have been forcing him to recreate his creations for us, don't tell anyone though.

:lol

Hmm...not a bad thought, greylocke! We've always heard of basketball camps and such that kids go to...why not a prop camp for those of us so inclined? :cool

Firstly, Thank you to every one of you who have posted here since my last update. I am so very grateful to you all for helping to keep this thread alive :)

Secondly, my unreserved apologies for my lengthy absence. Life has been getting in the way on so many levels that I just haven't had the time or the mental/physical energy to attack this project, but that will hopefully change for the better in the near future.

I dusted off this build today for the first time in ages and sprayed up the front walkway exterior. What a difference when all those stuck on bits of whatever, in all those electric colours, suddenly all fade to glorious white! This is just a base coat but It really does give instant gratification to see how good it looks to me.

The external "greeblies"/detailing is all scratch built but I have tried to keep it reasonably close to what I have been able to discern on other peoples' build photos. Either way, I think it looks okay. Finally, I can now fit the X bars to the cage and fill/sand any remaining imperfections before a final spray in white primer.

I know it's not a huge update but at least its a step in the right direction!
Thanks, as always for looking in and I sincerely hope you are all well and happy! :)

Thanks Raalkuun for your posts :)
Thanks also for posting the link to David's eagle. Although I have seen this many times, I am certain that others have not.
All three 44 inch eagles still exist to this day, as do the 23 inch and the twelve in models. I'm not certain who owns which though!:unsure
