Re: Space 1999 Eagle Transporter Build Club UPDATE 21/03 (PIC HEAVY!)
My update (if it indeed even warrants the name) will be coming soon. I'm way behind you at this point, I will say. I know the objective here was not to compete per se, but it nonetheless feel like it did in school when the class was taking a test, and how it felt when others were finishing up and was still struggling along behind them! :confused
Well, Bob, i think it would be only fair to point out at this juncture that it's all credit to you, that you are progressing as quickly as you are....
Without ever betraying any confidences, I know your current situation and I am proud to know you and have you as my 'build buddy' - your experience in model making,
far surpasses mine. Your exactness of detail and much more organised approach, leave me envious, and your dogged determination to continue your build, in difficult circumstances, deserve no less than my complete admiration....
Remember as well that you also go to work every day and that I do not.
All that aside, my friend, the first to finish is not necessarily the best. I guess it will possibly prove to be the epitaph of these builds, once we have both completed them:
Bob wanted to do it all right and Darren wanted to do it all right now. :lol

Oh, yes, I remember that test...was that the one where you are only permitted one piece of paper to write on and you are supposed to read all the questions thoroughly BEFORE starting to answer any of them? Most people disregard that blatant instruction and start tearing into answering them immediately. then there is Bob.....who feels like he is being left behind by the others around him, but decides to read all the questions like he was told to do. Good job he did because the last question is actually a directive and it says to only write your name at the top of the sheet and put down your pen, and anything else is a fail............Bob passes...
I want to see how YOU build and at YOUR pace, and so do a lot of other members on this forum, right guys?
