Here are the two featured variations of the ROTJ blasters. Stembridge and the Endor blaster. Just got all the parts in the right place, now to paint..

My Greedo Killer is officially done I believe. Just short of building with an authentic vintage MGC along with a real compac scope and m9 flash hider.. this is about as accurate I believe a replica of this beautiful prop as I can get. The denix itself is the most I’ve ever rework one and it now lines up pretty much perfectly with an MGC (or a real c96 for that matter). It might be subtle to most but it’s made a world of difference in its over all appearance. Here are some pics. Can you spot what’s been done and what do you think?

I think he’s talking about the firing pin bolt. When I did mine last week I based off of one that scottja did. Only I used a 1/4” threaded rod and turned all but the last 3/8” down to 1/8”. Then I tapped the hole with a 1/4-20 tap. Now, when I say “I”, I mean I had my metal fab 18 yr old do it for me!

This part right?

Scott is most definitely never a bad lead to follow. But I did something a little different and it’s quite simple really. I just shaved down the back of the bolt itself so it’s flat. I have that mini mill that makes life easier but before when I didn’t I just used a mini saw to cut the straight line into it after I cut it flat. Now the trick to be able to get it out is to put hole in bottom towards where the front where peg would come to a rest. With this hole you can easily just pop it out with a screw driver using a little leverage..

Clearly I have a lot of time on my hands but the positive side, I’m building all my blasters. This is the Dagobah blaster. I’ve decided to finish it a little differently. Instead of just painting it flat black like the resin prop it’s based on I wanted to finishing it with a little more detail..

nice work!

I noticed the Propstore auction cast actually has a barrel tip inside the cone. As far as I know, Han's blaster from ANH only had the blunted bull barrel that stops at the shoulder of the FH!

Some of those came from my photos, but one thing you're forgetting... while I do agree... it's likely the Solo hero did have a greeblie or two originally... that scene of him firing at vader... BOTH guns were used... so in the first from the left it COULD be the Luke... and the second it IS the Luke.

So other than the Hoth hangar group shot, there's no good photos of the left of the Han gun at all to be verified.

that’s what I figured Honestly. Ya there is that video of them switching out the blasters as ford shot them. I have it but don’t know how to post video here other than uploading to YouTube and adding a link. To much trouble but it’s already up there somewhere anyhow. What peeked my interest is I’ve had that Hoth promo pic which shows a greeblie on the left side for a while now but scrolling through eBay of all places I came across this other photo. You can again see a greeblie (unclear as it is) but it did spark the question. I used to have this book but it fell apart over time..

Here ya go. Direct photo of that page of the book. Not a lot to see, though.

Maybe you can help clarify something... I’d thought the two firing ESB Bespin blasters were original mausers, and the Hoth blaster an MGC. But another thread seemed to think the Bespin were MGC also. Which is which?

Also, which of the two "Bespin" heroes does Luke pull on Yoda when they first meet? I know the rest of the time he just has the Dagobah resin stunts but looking through the storybook I realized one of the hero blasters is used briefly.
