How I made the Resistance Pilot Flight Vest Buckle. It's made of dollar store materials and some paint.

Breakdown is:
Helmet- Allen amis kit
flight suit - costumebase with modifications, pocket changes and alterations
vest and pouch - i made
chestbox - 3d print with added leds
hose - lightweight version from reb legion classifieds
harness & belt - i made
boots - snow boots from Jd williams
blaster - 3d print with holster i made
gloves - costumebase
chestplate- 3d print
flares - machined alum ones from a reb legion seller i painted and made a holder for

Worked on this one about 6 months on and off with most of my time going into the chestbox finishing and lights and making the vest.

......Couple more pics. I did a different patina on each flare and really liked how they came out.

you will need 3 buckles with that belt, since it comes with a plastic one. i think some RL sellers have the alum paddles available.

So apparently, Poe has additional lights in his chestbox, shown in TLJ trailer.



Looks like 2 blue ones on the side, replacing the ones previously painted blue, and 2 white ones in the center.

Also he now has a lower positioned holster with a thigh strap. Looks like I'll be making a change to mine.

With a lighted chest box, do you think it's possible to use buttons from the same company that is recommended for the rank badges, EAO?

don't know, i'm not really familiar with those. I made mine by cutting white acrylic for the "buttons" and mounting LEDs in behind them....but to add the side ones in, I would have to cut into the rear of the box to access that area.

I imagine someone will be modeling a new box now, with a rear opening large enough to mount the necessary pieces with a 9v battery.
