So I was at the local gun store yesterday...

The Ghetto Lathe[emoji769] at work. Stopping tomorrow to get some carbide tools. It bogs down if you really bear down on it, but it's a $39 drill. Patience is all I need. Since I'm creating my own version of a BH carbine, I have artistic freedom. This is fun.

I tried this once, how did you match the height of the drill and the other end? That's what stopped me before.

Oh, I just put a 1/4" drill bit in the drill and slid the blockup to it to mark it, and drilled it out after.

You can't really tell, but this does taper. Lots more work to be done. I bought 6160 aluminum, which is hard as bells. The two outside cuts will be the cutoff. Again, I'm building my own interpretation of a bounty hunter rifle. I will cut slots to allow the barrel to slide over the studs. I'm thinking an angled cut chromed insert barrel will look killer.

Nice! Sorry I couldn't be there, I was busy getting shoved around by weird people at umphreys McGee. That was weird. Anyways, I can't wait to see this blaster come together!

Thanks Tom! I'm thinking this on the side and the long scope on the top. I'll get that light working, maybe replace with an LED...
