So Cal Prop Party!! PICS START ON PAGE 33!!!!

Re: So Cal Prop Party!! SET FOR MARCH 6th 2011 **SEE 1st POST**

Is there anyone who's going that is getting a hotel room and wouldn't mind splitting it with me? I can't get a room on my own, as it's nearly impossible if you're under 21, and a room just for myself would probably be too expensive as well and keep me from coming.

I'd do it if I can get the money for the plane ticket. I start my job on Friday, so we'll see how that goes.

Be sure to decide in advance if you're going to be wearing a "Team Munson" or "Team Laamberry" shirt. In LA, you've always gotta be flying your colors.

But I love you both equally.

Tell you what, I'll be Team Munson if you pay for me to get flown out there! :lol

Re: So Cal Prop Party!! SET FOR MARCH 6th 2011 **SEE 1st POST**

I'm thinking of flying a metaphorical Swiss flag in the form of a bedazzled RPF denim vest.

The thought of such a beautiful sight just brought a tear to my eye. No really.

Re: So Cal Prop Party!! SET FOR MARCH 6th 2011 **SEE 1st POST**

Then I guess you'll just have to be there. It won't be just any vest, either. It'll have a collar. And that collar? It'll be popped.

Re: So Cal Prop Party!! SET FOR MARCH 6th 2011 **SEE 1st POST**

What if I want to have a shirt that's one-half Team Laamberry and the other half Team Munson? I enjoy remaining impartial.

Re: So Cal Prop Party!! SET FOR MARCH 6th 2011 **SEE 1st POST**

You'll just have to buy one of each, cut them in half, and sew them back together. The bonus is, you end up with two shirts and you can sell the second one to make up some of your costs.

Re: So Cal Prop Party!! SET FOR MARCH 6th 2011 **SEE 1st POST**

I had actually thought about doing just that, actually. Trouble is, I have NO IDEA how to sew.

Re: So Cal Prop Party!! SET FOR MARCH 6th 2011 **SEE 1st POST**

I might try to fly out, so put me down as "tentative" .... By some small miracle, I may be able to scrape the money together, and I've wanted to visit L.A. for a while. Transport may be a problem. :(

How about you guys just try to save your money and start up prop parties in your state or area? Traveling to ca and staying for 3 days is pretty expensive

March 6th can be national prop party day and have three prop parties in 3 different states going on...

Re: So Cal Prop Party!! SET FOR MARCH 6th 2011 **SEE 1st POST**

Rocketeer, I had thought about doing that, but I don't thin it'd really work this year. And as far as I know, Geektress doesn't exactly live in a location that'd be terribly popular (though, central US might have some appeal). Perhaps later this year, or next year.

Re: So Cal Prop Party!! SET FOR MARCH 6th 2011 **SEE 1st POST**

I live someplace no-one's ever heard of, but hosting my own prop party could be fun. One problem is the only person who lives close enough to me to attend doesn't exactly like talking to me anymore.

Besides, I need to travel again. I went from travelling all the time as a child to staying in one place for FAR too long, and that needs to change.

Re: So Cal Prop Party!! SET FOR MARCH 6th 2011 **SEE 1st POST**

well, how about you two work something out together...get a motel (not hotel cause those are expensive here in socal oc) room together...money you guys save..get a rental car..maybe a trip to disney while your at it

Re: So Cal Prop Party!! SET FOR MARCH 6th 2011 **SEE 1st POST**

Rocketeer, neither Geektress nor I are 21 or older, so it'd be a bit of a challenge to get a rental. Hotel or motel rooms are also not the easiest thing in the world, though I think I've got that worked out already, and we had already talked about splitting that expense. As with Geektress, the biggest concern is actually the plane ticket, though in my case I'm pretty sure I'll end up with enough between Christmas and my birthday (February)

Re: So Cal Prop Party!! SET FOR MARCH 6th 2011 **SEE 1st POST**

jet blue or southwest airlines...pretty cheap tickets...or save up and attend next year....I think our plan is to have one every single year...we had one last year, but before that...they didnt have one for like 4-5 years i think

Re: So Cal Prop Party!! SET FOR MARCH 6th 2011 **SEE 1st POST**

I forgot to check prices on Southwest, thanks for reminding me. Jetblue, unfortunately, doesn't really seem to service Florida, IDK about Illinois.

you might want to check again..they have tons of cities in florida listed for jetblue....tampa, frt lauderdale, fort meyers, jacksonville, orlando, sarasota bradenton, west palm beach

Re: So Cal Prop Party!! SET FOR MARCH 6th 2011 **SEE 1st POST**

Yeah, I checked. Weird that they didn't show up on any of the deal sites (they've showed up when I was flying from other locations). Southwest has the lowest prices for both Geektress and I, and it looks like the price of the ticket isn't much of an issue anymore.

OK - I've been to ALL the Irvine D&B prop parties, and know pretty much all the hooligans that traditionally show up, and I can tell you that NONE of us are worth a $300 - $400 investment. Especially coming from the limited budgets of 20-year-olds...

Dude - save your money; wait for the pics.

Besides; we're now moving this to the BAR - no one under 21 allowed!

Re: So Cal Prop Party!! SET FOR MARCH 6th 2011 **SEE 1st POST**

If you're coming out, be sure to plan other stuff in the area so it isn't a waste.
I recommend Disney California Adventure.

Studio/workshop tours would be fun too, if you can arrange 'em.
