Re: So Cal Prop Party 2011...Let's start talking

Midway is the ticket. Move the tables against the wall and you got allot of room in there

Re: So Cal Prop Party 2011...Let's start talking

Yeah, Midway was my favorite room of the three..Large open space and the projector screen...

Hopefully, we can get a ton of people to go..Also, I will make sure to wear my rpf badge this time...

I'm in the same boat. Unless work duty calls, count me in. It would be great to finally meet some fellow RPFers in person and talk shop!

Re: So Cal Prop Party 2011...Let's start talking

I've contacted Brad with a list of locations I've known and all these places are several times larger and cheaper than the D&B Rooms...and although almost all these halls are equipped with kitchens, the only drawback is lack of food and drink which seems to be more important than the meeting experience. Food and Drink could always be brought in. Hot Dogs and a huge ice filled tub for drinks? Just a suggestion of course. The locations I've found so far are in Granada Hills, Pomona, Bellflower, Arcadia, Sin City, Anaheim and Buena Park.

I have a possible home location in Lake View Terrace near the 210/118 freeways. If anyone made it to the 04 prop party, same guy, different house. This was the one where Calvin Jung stopped by to tell RoboCop and Tales of the Gold Monkey stories. His house is fairly empty due to a divorce and pending home sale so its a perfect party spot. Huge back yard with a BBQ too. If anyone is interested put up some dates and ill see what we can do. Would be a bring your own whatever food/drink, same as before.

I know these are usually held on Sat and I would love to make it out, but my Saturdays are pretty much spoken for. Any chance of doing it on a Sunday or is that too inconvenient for everyone?

Art,

Nothings written in stone yet so we'll see what happens.

So, no booze, no food, and it's in the ghetto*? Sign me up!!! Where do I send my money???

I vote Dave and Busters all the way. You get what you pay for. Every party we've had there has been great. (Though the party at Rob's friend's house was also amazing too. Don't get me wrong.) D&B has a great atmosphere, we get an occasional fun "walk-in", it's fairly centrally located, is safe, has tons of parking, and has video games.

* I'm being facetious. If you live in one of those cities, don't take it personally. Just go post in the "what offends you" thread that this thread offends you. :lol

If anyone wants, the house in Lake View Terrace is open.

It would be nice to have one of the Mods come to the party....as long as we dont get infractions for talking about politics. :)

Sunday works better for me as well, not sure how others feel though...and whatever venue you guys decide is okay with me...it seems like DB has more pros...having it at a house is nice as well

Re: So Cal Prop Party 2011...Let's start talking

Pros about the house: Private residence, no items possibly walking away or damaged by uninvited onlookers, can go as late as needed, rooms for people to pass out, sharpie markers for everyone thats not passed out to draw on all who are passed out, BYOB, BBQ, BFF, TTYL, OMG.

Cons: a little far for most but see pros above.

Re: So Cal Prop Party 2011...Let's start talking

So here's the deal kiddos!

We will have it at D&B's again BUT in the larger room. We will have it on one of these dates. Let's take a poll:

Sunday March 6th
Sunday March 13th
Sunday March 20th

Take your pick and I will make it happen!

Remember, the more people come the cheaper it is for everyone, so tell your wife, tell your kids, cause we gonna have a prop party up in here! :)

Re: So Cal Prop Party 2011...Let's start talking

I am good for Sunday March 6th or Sunday March 13th

Re: So Cal Prop Party 2011...Let's start talking

I may be on a small island in the Pacific at that time.
