Re: So Cal Prop Party 2011...Let's start talking

It's still on, but the mods won't sticky anything that is more than 60 days away. We will keep on this and see where we end up.

Re: So Cal Prop Party 2011...Let's start talking

Ill be there... D&B's in Ontario mills mall has some pretty big rooms.. And honestly i do wanna beer when I'm BSing with everyone.

Re: So Cal Prop Party 2011...Let's start talking

Chiming in now after talking with Brad, I found several locations mostly meeting halls that my clock clubs meet at each month but the rooms are huge (more than 7 times the size of DBs room) , stocked with plenty of chairs and tables and most equipped with kitchens but no food facilities which means we'd either have to bring refreshments in ourselves or have it catered. As far as alcohol goes.... being a "non-drinker" myself , not having booze isn't a deal breaker for me...not that I'm speaking for anyone else. We can always have a "BYOB" (bring your own booze) party if its that important and we can have a huge tube filed with ice to keep all refreshments in. Personally I'm there to talk props and an ice cold soda is fine with me.
The locations I found are in Granada Hills, Pomona, Bellflower, Arcadia, Sun City, Anaheim and Buena Park if anyones interested.

I honestly wish I had a big enough house with a huge backyard and just have a party there with a BBQ.....I grill a great steak or simpy make burgers, fajitas or something. Anyone got any ideas please let us know

I look forward to the next one.

(Maybe Matt can visit again?)

Thanks for the vote! I will for sure be there. I cannot possibly miss an opportunity like that to hit the old stomping grounds.

I still think D&B Irvine is the way to go, despite some percieved limitations. It's fairly central, has a ton going on for after party shenanigans, and it's always been a good time. No parking problems either :)

Re: So Cal Prop Party 2011...Let's start talking

where would this be held? rough area i mean?
i'd love to go, but i'd rather not drive into the thick of LA from san diego to do it.

Re: So Cal Prop Party 2011...Let's start talking

Us San Diego folks would prefer it not be all the way in in Hell-A, or farther.

Irvine is nice.

Orange County. D&B is right where the 5 and 405 split. About an hour south of LA, an hour north of SD.

And you can carpool with micdavis. A free ride, and a free earful. What more could you ask for? :p

And tell e-wan to bring his wife/girlfriend again.

Re: So Cal Prop Party 2011...Let's start talking

Well, I was sorry to miss this year's event and would try much harder to make next year's.
February is good, I would also vote to not tie it to a convention, unless they are comping passes and a nice big room.

OC is fine or some of the other places mentioned.
I would certainly not bring my wife. Someone has to watch the kids!

Matt, where are you these days? Glad to hear you wil make it out for this!

Re: So Cal Prop Party 2011...Let's start talking

The rumors are true boys, you never introduce your wife to Matt Munson. :lol

And here is the proof.....smooth talker that Matt Munson....women want to be with him, men want to be him...

Hey Guy, I am still out in Ohio. Not much going on here, and still desperate to get back to OC. I cannot believe how long I've been here. Coming up on almost 2 years now. Where did I go wrong?? :lol

Would be great to catch up with you and the rest of the gang. I will definitely do my best to get myself out there for the party.

Okie Dokie Group. I was able to make it down to the spectrum today and take pictures of the rooms. I took pictures of 3 rental rooms they have available.

The first Room is called the Midway Party Room which is pretty large and the cheapest of the three rooms..Midway Party Room: Private banquet room with a movie theater marquee above the entrance for customized greetings. Includes a screen, LCD projector, microphone, wireless Internet and CD/DVD/IPOD player. Seats 40 to 120 guests

Second Room....Executive Board Room Which is the more expensive than the Midway party room. This is the same room last year, however there is an extension to it which makes the room larger..Executive Board Room: (combined event areas) Split-Level private banquet room. Includes a flat screen television that can be used for presentations. Seats 55 to 102 guests

Re: So Cal Prop Party 2011...Let's start talking

Thanks Michael for scouting it out! I think the Midway room looks great!

Re: So Cal Prop Party 2011...Let's start talking

I agree, the midway looks the best. The room last year was very small and that guard rail really limited the space for tables.

Re: So Cal Prop Party 2011...Let's start talking

Brad, Pm me your email address and I will forward you the email the event planner sent me..

I filled out one of those quota papers and she sent me price guide...
