Hi there.
Well, I've been working on this project for about two months, and although I need to finalize some details, I'd like to show the work I've done on this amazing prop.
The frame is made on stainless steel, panels are made on wood, hand-carved. The aged/rusted on frame and bolts and screws is forced (not natural).
Apart from the time on manually bending and drilling the frame (over 70 holes), the most difficult part has been the carving of the panels with the Latin inscription. I thought it was going to be much faster, but it took me around two weeks (when I had some spare time).
About the aging work, it's not really been a problem since I have done similar work before and I know some techniques, but getting the trully screen accurated look was a real challenge.
Last two weeks I have been working on the back, the aged and a handle system according to the time it is supposed. I have made a string work that, once aged, will fulfill its role effectively.
Well, that's all by now. I think I'll be able of finishing it during the next week but, as you can see, this piece is already hunging in my collection.
I've uploaded a small collection of pics into my Flickr, the "making of". It would be great to get your comments on it.

Hope you like it.
