Right then, I had roughed out the back main underlying detail ( tedious tedious couple of hours that was ) So i figured i would try my and at texture stamps. below is what i did.
1st i made some rough random blobs. the lighter is there so you ca see the size of them.
then i took a little tool and roughly blended the edges in.
I then hit the sculpts with some white spiritsand my butane torch to melt it quickly, and soften it up.
On the bigger one i made some smaller lumps and then again blended them with white spirits and heat, melting them back into the main body of the sculpt.
Quick water based clay wall, clear coated , into which the silicone was poured.
Here is then the stamps, poured out of some RTV silicone.
Now for the fail part.
My intention was to overlay the 2 bigger sculpts, but it did not yeild particulary good results, so i am going to try just the bigger one and really knock them back then with water. this was really just a little test i guess so i am not too botherd.
the smaller sculpt which i did not expect much of, gave me great results if i overlapped, and will save me alit of time when i finish up the softer details.
