Silicone P1 Suit Evolution. Pg41 Hands Video 19/07/13

Quills on, and here you see how much vertical movement I have before I get any creases.

I can lift my arms almost straight up, but I get a couple of bulges in the chest then along with the slight ones in the bicep area you see here. this is with NO extra padding, so I think with some extra padding I can eliminate some of them :)

All in all I am very happy with range of movement considering I had no life cast of me for this.

That suit is utterly without any shade of doubt the best I have ever seen. Silicon is deffo the best for movement it looks scarily real and life like. Gold star buddy , to the top of the class.

The paintjob on  is fantastic.
First time I saw the movements in this suit, my thoughts were:
"Damn, that thing is alive!"
Especially, in the belly-area. Like flexing the muscles.
Great work!

I put it on just like a sweater.

After talking to Tom and George I have removed 15 quills from the chest/stomach as they agreed with my concerns that I had gone slightly overboard.  I also did the silicone for the shoulder armour today , tomorrow I will do the fibreglass jacket and hopfully get a test pull at the weekend.

thanks for the kind words guys.

I hate to sound like I'm repeating myself here but this is looking great.  Other than thinning out that front bit you've nailed the quills.  I'm glad to help in any little way.

this is a whole new dimension in Pred suit building.

Thanks Drew, gota keep trying to push the boundries.

Right shoulder bell is done, cast in plastiflex and tinted black ready for painting, this stuff is great, it is VERY light, flexes like urethane, but unlike urethane it is very easy to paint, much like resin.

You seem to be using plastiflex allot Lee.  Where do you get yours from?  Is it the same stuff that comes from Polytek?  Shoulder bell turned out good!

yes Brian, its full name is POLYTEK PLASTIFLEX. sorry about that.
Thanks Lee, and no need to apologize  :p.  Seems to be the perfect thing for armor.

I am so amazed with your build! It's too incredible! The silicone torso is awesome! I love how moves and flexs like a real skin!

I know I'm going to sound like an idiot, but I read back throught but can't find it. Why kind of silicone did you use? I was planning on using silicone for my suit build, but I was curious in which type you used.

I can't wait too see more. Always keeping up too date :3 Awesome!

Glad you like the build Abby, I know it is long but its a record of how this changed for me into something I thought I couldn't do.

I used Platsil GEL00 ,I am not sure the US has that but I think Dragonskin Pro is the same softness etc.

im working on the hand currently so that will be the next update.

Okay thanks! I was looking at Smooth On today and saw the Dragon Skin silicone rubber, and that was planned on using. I saw eaglewood make some awesome dreads wit them awhile back, and I looked pretty cool! Can't wait for the next update :)

First the quill compound, now plastiflex?

You never run out of tricks, cant wait to see what materials youll discover next :)

I am pretty sure I read somewhere a week or so ago that this stuff was akin to the GEL00, but youd have to do some research, the normal Dragonskin is like GEL10, and the FX PRO is like GEL00

No new materials planned I have everything I need and materials I am happy with. I just need time to finish this now.

There are greens and browns in there, which a lot of people forget about on a P1.
