Silicone P1 Suit Evolution. Pg41 Hands Video 19/07/13

Good damn it Lee, don't you ever sleep? That is looking wicked, loving the few added extras your throwing in there with battle damage etc just in the right places so that they correspond with each other.

Sculpt great, cast great, paint great

By "the great lee" Lol ;)

Seriously, you must be a guru of the predators :)

I said that as a joke, but its truly an honor to see your work

lol thanks Jose.

I hope I have given enough back to the community which I enjoyed for so long. hopefully ive made a few people realise anyone can do this, you just need patience and not want to finish it yesterday.

Quick suit up test to see if the silicone quills would stay on ( thought i would try it with only a few rather than find out they all fall off with over 100 attached ) they stayed on fine, to the point where one broke in half when I tried to pull it off yay.

anyway a few photos my girl screen grabbed, then I took a quick video to show movement from simple breathing to some muscle flexing.

there ARE issues with this, it does bulge alittle around the shoulders if I lift my arms up high, this is purely down to me not using a lifecast, and guessing for the most part, but for normal movement its totally acceptable and way better than latex, I can hopefully eliminate some or the bulges with foam, but I am really not that fussed about it.

Close up of skin tones matching.

Video of small movements and how it reacts with me.

That is one amazing work of art. It's making me want to try and make one as well. Just need the time to do it. Congratulations on the skins. I'm sure your suit will be one of the best on here when it's done.

Thanks a bunch Lee!!! While it was a struggle, I was OK with the plans I had for a skin but now you just went and blew that all out of the water for me. The video put me over the edge. Now I know that I will not be satisfied unless I go silicone....jeeez!!! This means more research, time and money. Madness...simply madness!  :p First I gotta' make that back pack...there just isn't enough time in a day.

Seriously though, the skin looks phenominal. I said it before and I will say it again...it just looks SO REAL!!!

Steve

Thanks Steve,

I am not being modest or trying to garner anything, anyone who has known me for any length of time knows ME, now hearing you say I have made you change your mind and you want to try something else means heaps to me, it means I HAVE contributed to this place and maybe sparked a few creative thoughts when I hear those comments, they mean as much as people liking my rambling posts and stuff.

as for the backpack, id LOVE to have one on this suit.

Lee, you have removed some of the mystery that has made silicone seem like such an "out of our league" kinda' thing and shown us that it is very doable. Thank you for pushing forward on this and showing us that it can be done and yes it has raised the bar for me. Whether or not I will get there remains to be seen but it has given me some new goals.

I'm going to have to echo Sulaco on this one.............truly speechless.  I cannot believe how realistic it looks, I think I would genuinely **** myself if i came across you up a tree (and that's not a suggestion to go and terrorise dog walkers in the local park)!

It is like a second skin, the paint job is epic. To think this is what you have acheived at home/in the garage, I don't think you could have made a better suit with a full FX studio and a hollywood budget. I've pretty much used your P1 sculpt as a benchmark to aim for and to keep pushing myself, and you keep pushing the bar higher and higher. Can you at least lower it a little bit for the more average ones amongst us? lol

Thanks again guys ( sorry for saying thanks all the time, but I do not want anything thinking I do not read or appreciate the comments )

We all raise the bar in our own way, even if its just a suggestion which sparks a idea. A epic drawing, a epic animatronic build, a epic bio build, paint ups stories, we are always evolving, and I am happy to be part of that.

ran out of quills, 120 used ( I couldn't use 10 the were too small for the area ) 50+ on the back, 30 ish on the shouders, rest here.

tomorrow I shall complete the quilling of the beast.
