Hi guys, just a small update to this, as I've picked the project back up, and might be offering busts of the head soon.
Tonight . . .Achmed got his junk mold "beard" so I could get a resin jaw to start working with. The face above is the resin master for the head.
I've got the body going again too, and am moving onto the shoudler blades and arms soon. I'm also casting the eye's and eyebrows over the weekend. Might just have a finished head in a few days!!

Hey, bet ya thought I fogot about this!
I 've been seeing alot of the commercials for Dunham's new show, and it got me going on this agian.
Last night and got the legs finshed and attached, and also took the last big chunk out of the body by finishing the shoudlers. I'm amazed how large the puppet is, and had really no sense of scale (ecept for the head) until I found this pic.
This made me pretty happy finding out I was on target. I'd have to peg the accuracy so far at around 75% Not terrible, but not great.
Finishing the arms tonight, and if it stays warm, casting the whole head this weekend. Enjoy!!

Jeff has the legs upside down. The top "thigh" bone (femur) is only ONE bone; the lower leg has two bones, the tibia (larger "shin" bone) and the smaller fibula bone on the outside of each leg. Jeff has the two bones up TOP, for the thigh, with a single lower leg bone on the puppet.
So, your puppet is accurate, but anatomically upside down when it comes to the legs. Trust me, I'm a doctor.

Primed and ready for paint! This made me very happy, because the sculpt/bone bash/construction really comes together and looks much tigher and neater.
I'm casting the head today, and hoping to have a ready cast soon. Gotta order some resin.
Are people still interested in a head cast? I only ask at this point to know how tough my mold should be.
