hey man, how did you do the weathering on the older version? it looks very well. Is it a stencil you used?
Anyone else has troubles to fit the Roman Graflex clamp V3?
Did you sand down the tabs inside the clamp?
Also Romans v3 clamp has 3 holes drilled in it for the v3. For the v2 you want a regular graflex clamp, it’s debatable what version. Satin or matte, seems like a lot of guys go matte

Is yours too big or too small?I did indeed dremeled the tabs inside the Clamp.
V3 or even regular Graflex clamp, None fit at all on this Luke V2.
Is yours too big or too small?
After removing the bar, you might just have to not tighten the lever as many turns when you put it back together. Graflexes clamps are pretty picky sometimes, there isn't an enormous difference in size between when the lever is open and when it's closed. So you have to make sure the lever is screwed in the perfect amount before tightening the lever. And unless you modify the clamp, you can't tighten the lever any rotations when the clamp is on the saber. You'll have to tighten the clamp, put it on the saber, check if it fits when you close the lever, and take it off to tweak if necessary.[emoji38]
The Luke V2 is too big. The clamp do no go around it. Even if I try to force it.
Did you remove the left bar on the clamp?

It should look like this. View attachment 816765
Look inside the left clamp bar. There is a square block there which can be removed (might require some tools to force its removal) but that is the bar you’ll use.
now on the right side of the clamp, there is a square hole that prevents you from being able to screw the lever in while the clamp is on. If you carefully use a drillbit or round file to make that rectangular hole just round enough for the lever to spin it should be very easy to assemble and tighten your lever while the clamp is on the saber. I believe there is a video somewhere detailing this process.
finally if the clamp bars are being troublesome you can put the clamp on your saber, then over bend the bars together (like I had to) which helps the lever grab as well as helps the clamp card from slothfurnace fit snugly
