Having got one of the McGann run and been blown away by the quality of workmanship, I'm dying to add a Pertwee sonic to the collection I have (would that be a vibration of sonics??)

If another Pertwee run comes to fruition would it be redesigned to have the more accurate lower neck bullet, or would it be the same as the previous runs?

You should be fine. He just has one of Matt Smith's sonics that doesn't flick open. Nick Robatta apparently turned up on set to find all the sonics superglued closed.

No it was intentional. The prop dept superglued them as Peter Capaldi didn't want the flick as he felt fans associated it with Matt Smith's Doctor.

Just watching "Listen" again.. when Peter is using the sonic on the Tardis after the visit to the Orphanage, it is Extended and then he throws it down...lol

In last night's ep when Clara hugs Pink with the sonic in her hand you can also see it's extended and the claws are open.
