Showoff: My Toy Story collection...it's HUGE!

I'm wondering if Thinkway has plans on doing more Definitive Collection characters? I know there is some speculation on Slinky since they may not be able to get the rights.

Nice! I've really been wanting one of those movie-accurate Buzz Lightyears, but I've been unemployed and can't dump $50 on a toy.

I love seeing all these pictures of your collections. I've fallen into this trap as well thanks to the 3rd film. My problem is I cant for the life of me come to a decision whether to open them or not. Any suggestions?

hahaha, yeah I know.... Just picked up a couple more... I'm debating on getting the TSC Potato Head cause he doesn't look acurate enough, I just just need Bullseye, RC and Rex to complete the main characters.. I seen RC but I can wait to get him, the other 2 elude me..

Then I guess I will pick up all the nursery characters next

I would wait for the new Hasbro Potato Head.

TOY STORY 3 MR. AND MRS. POTATO HEAD
(Ages 2 years & up/Approx. Retail Price: $9.99/Available: Fall 10)
Mr. and Mrs. are ready for adventure with the rest of the Toy Story 3 gang! These classic POTATO HEAD characters look just like they do in the movie, from hats down to shoes. Available at most major toy retailers nationwide and on HasbroToyShop.com.

They now have a "replica" Jessie that looks very accurate with yarn hair! I think it's the "yodeling Jessie".

yeah the disney store has several and a limited edition one coming out or out now. We only have one in the state now until they re-open the new designed store so ..

I'm a little dissapointed with the collection Jessie doll. Something about her face does not seem right - I think it's the overall shape of her head and smile. They also did not take the time to make her eyebrows a darker red like it is in the movie and for some reason, it's not the original actor's voice used as with the previouse version released earlier this year.
I just picked up Bullseye recently and it's pretty good - but also very large. Seems out of scale when you compare it to the movie, but looks OK when displayed with Woody and Jessie - but totally towers over Buzz. Bullseye did not look all that big in the movie - but that's just a nit-pick on my part.
I may end up modifying slinky dog to be more movie accurate since Ive read that Thinkway does not have plans to do a replica slink.

OK..I have approximations of the core characters. My Bullseye is not the greatest, but it will do until I win some cash. :p I also would love to replace my Potato Head with the more accurate talking one, but $55 or whatever it costs is too much. I'm hoping they don't sell and I see it on clearance one day.

I was at a second hand store and found a bag with lots of Potato Head parts and a body, but not the parts to make a Mrs. Potato Head so I didn't bother. They did have one of those rolling lawnmower ball popping toys (like in Sunnyside day care when Bullseye gets a rough ride) but I didn't bother.

funky jedi - any chance on a total break down of each character and what the options are for buyers either "toy story brand" (made for the movie) or exists in the real world?

thanks

Ummm...no. :lol

What you're asking would take hours of research and the characters available (expecially with the new movie) are well over 100. But there's already some good info here and on the web. Now if you have specific questions I'll answer what I can. Good luck.

Between Ebay, Google and fan sites you can get a good idea. Every store has their own takes on everything etc.

For Mr. Potato head I would ask this guy..I just recently checked out his collection and it's pretty impressive to say the least..I have a bunch for the old days and collect many over the years but nothing like this guy.

The Hamm was JUST released. He's resin, is a real bank and can be bought for 19.99 at any Disney store. (this was Muttley's find, actually) Based on my comparisons, he's darn near spot on in size! Even has a real cork. Only problem is he gets scuffed pretty easily. If you go to the store, inspect your before purchase! They're sold loose so they have no protection.

DUDE!! I've been totally slammed lately but checked in to see what was new...awesome collection pics!! man you really have gone all out.

I was on vacation with the fam and ran accross Hamm and I immediatley sent that to funky for review. I thought it looked spot on, definitely the best out there I've seen.

My kiddo's room is decorated in a psuedo-andy's room theme. Not really that many unique items, but he does have Mr Mike, oh and Funky hooked me up with the screen accurate monitors last prop party :D

Lovin that Firetruck and Bo-Peep and her sheep are classic.

Alright, so within 1 week's time, here is whet I managed to get

Until the accurate Rex arrives in the mail, the real world version is standing in!! awaiting on Bo Peep to arrive as well
