Showoff: My Toy Story collection...it's HUGE!

Speaking of Targets. If you go check their "Vintage" toy aisle (sock monkey, raggedy ann, etc). They now have a reproduction Fisher Price Phone that looks almost dead-on to the originals. I realize there is a new "toy story" version out with sounds, but it has a screwey label where the color blocks are.

I always debated doing a Toy Story collection. After seeing Funky's pic I realize that I don't have the space :)

I got the Hamm from Disney store and I think it looks really great. I am guessing that the designers were intentionally trying to make a movie-scale replica as all the paint details match the movie and the overall size fits in nicely with the Thinkway collection.
Only one missing from my set is Bullseye which should have a full release next month (right now I think he is only available west coast).
I am also planning to mod Slinky to be more screen accurate.

This is a fantastic collection. I have several of the toys that came out during the first movie. I remember the hardest to find back then was Woody, and it wasn't all that accurate, and didn't have Tom Hanks' voice. Ive been checking out the current toys all over town though and they are very, very tempting. May have to start my collection up again.

I got myself the Toy Story Collection Buzz several months ago and I carefully opened it up just last night. Surprisingly hard to get out of the box and was disappointed with how many scuff marks were on the helmet. There was also a couple of paint chips too, but other than that, he's awesome. Very accurate and it's really awesome to actually hold him in your hand. The lights on the tips of the wings are amazing. That's a feature I've been waiting for ever since I was 5, when the first movie came out.

I definitely wanna get some of the others like RC and Rex. I think I have a Mr. Mic in the garage as well as my old Buzz doll from Burger King.

Well I hope that you're proud of yourself Funky Jedi. You may have gotten me started on another potential "monetary sink-hole" of obsessive prop collecting. :lol After seeing your and tripoli's collections, I was absolutely compelled to track down the Thinkway Toys versions of Woody and Buzz Lightyear. (I have a sinking feeling that it won't end there...it's kinda like eating potato chips, ya know?) Oh well. It's sort of nice though, focusing on a movie prop collection that my kids appreciate just as much as I do. They're not as keen on the "Smokey and the Bandit" or "Pulp Fiction" props for some reason.:) (Oh well...what do kids know anyway?!) By the way, tripoli, I loved the idea of putting the Toy Story Certificates in those clear plastic protectors. Very cool! :thumbsup

Jumpin' Jimminey! I had no idea this collection would get this kind of response! I'm honored that I was able "inspire" those that are now starting their collections. Like me boss says, "Come to the dark side, we have cookies!" :lol

To answer a couple of questions:

The accurate Bo Peep is by Thinkway toys and she's pretty rare. If you can pick her up for less than 75.00, you're doing good.
Rocky can be bought at Target. He's undersized but that's all we have for now, but he looks great!
Gary, you could not be more right. The biggest problem about this collection is space and enough room to display it. I've limited myself to that one counter so I jam as much stuff in there as I can. If it won't fit then it's not in the collection. Bullseye was almost vetoed for that very reason.

Rex needs a Super Nintendo.

The new game is pretty fun...seems tough in parts for kids. The best part is playing as Buzz and getting into Zurg's fortress. Plays out like the start of Toy Story 2. Any guesses where the entrance to Zurg's fortress is?? ;)

OK...since I can't really afford to add Rex (the ex kept him for the kids even though it was ME who got it for the kids for christmas), Slink, Potato Heads, Lotso, or a Bullseye I can improve my kids toys with a sharpie. Always meant to do this. Yes the weathering is natural. ;)

Used screen grabs for them..got as close as I could. Yes I know the Buzz is the TS2 version that wouldn't have been Andy's Buzz.

Love this thread. I've been getting several of these toys for my 2 girls and they love them. Sams Club has a nice 2 pack of the big Woody & Bullseye and another pack with Jessi and Bullseye.

Man... Love the collections!

Held the Buzz from the Toy Story Collection at TRU the other day. Would have bought it had it not spoken in Japanese.

Yeesh. Perfect box to boot.

OK...I bit the bullet and spent some $$. Wasn't too bad actually. I took a trip to the Disney Store with intentions of getting one thing..likely Ham or Lotso.

They had a sale on so 2 plushies were $30 so I got Lotso and Bullseye. Not a perfect Bullseye, but for $15 it will do. Lotso is good and smells too. Hamm was a decent price for $25. I refused to pay $35 for 3 of the Aliens. I considered a decent looking cup with a straw at the top but it was too much at $10.

I refused to pay $25 for the slink when I am certain I have seen it at Wal Mart for $15, and I didn't get the $75 Potato Head that looks good and talks. I stopped in Sears and found a Potato Head for $11. The mouth is off so I opted for his tongue sticking out instead of that silly grin that makes him look..silly. I still want a Slink..and I'll keep my eye out for a cheaper Wal Mart one.

These will be played with (except Potato Head and Hamm) so these are for me and the kids. My older son immediately threw Lotso on the floor. I think he hates that evil bear!

Jesse has apparently had one too many. ;) Her hat is SOOOO heavy.

Disney store prices are through the roof! The only character you really NEED to pick up there is the exclusive Hamm bank.
All the Thinkway "Collection" toys can be purchased way cheaper at Target or Toys R Us.
By the way - anyone know when East coast is getting the TS Collection Bullseye? I know that West coast stores have him already...

Love the Mr. Tortilla Head hankey01!!

Funky, which Lenny is that? Is it the Toy Story on ice version? That one is super rare... I'm wondering if the Burger King kids meal one will be an adequate substitute? Looks like all it needs is some pupils, but he may be a bit undersized.

Just saw that the Definitive Edition Bullseye is listed online, so I stopped by my TRU, as always with high hopes that it would be there....and much to my surprise, it was! $50 and it is a LOT larger than I had thought, but still in scale with all the other collection dolls.
I will have to take photos when I can, but I need a new shelf to display them on - no more room left for Bullseye!

Lenny IS the BK version. That's the closest in scale that I've found, but yes, he's still a bit undersized.
