When I started this collection a couple of years ago I had no idea it would be a never ending battle to collect all the key characters and get them as close to screen accurate as possible. I originally thought, "Ah, 15, maybe 20 characters at the most." Boy was I wrong! It just never stops. There is always "Oh, well I can't forget THAT one!" I don't think I'll ever be done. And now the new movie with new characters? :cry
A special shout out goes to Muttley and Luke Skyvader for their great tips in finding some of the more difficult pieces to get.

That is a awesome collection, my son would go crazy over that! Like pretty much any other father of a 2 year old I've seen the movies about 4 million times so I must say I've become a huge fan!

Great collection!

You can get the pull string phone at Wal Mart now.

I just saw a Mr Mic at a garage sale.

The chatter phone is now re-released so youcan pick it up for about 17.00. You can still buy the vintage ones on-line for about 10 bucks.
Mr. Mike, that's a whole other story. If you can find one that still works in decent - not mint - decent condition, plan to spend 100.00 minimum on-line. If you see one at a garage sale, BUY IT!!! That and the accurate baby monitors were two of my toughest aquisitions.

I think the Mr Mic I saw was a bit different..so I probably didn't miss out. Dang..I'll have to drop by and see if they have another garage sale. It was at the end of the day so they likely gave it away.

Shame the Woody toys all have the grin on his face instead of the pose he makes in the movies when he's "frozen" (if I am not mistaken).

Now, in Toy Story 3 does Woody's arm have the bulge in it as last seen in Toy Story 2? Continuity is a good thing.

And when are you going to etch out the "Chicken man"? Go on..I DARE you! Maybe a transparency could be printed out and overlayed?

Some blocks with LZTYBRN would be cool too. ;)

The Hamm was JUST released. He's resin, is a real bank and can be bought for 19.99 at any Disney store. (this was Muttley's find, actually) Based on my comparisons, he's darn near spot on in size! Even has a real cork. Only problem is he gets scuffed pretty easily. If you go to the store, inspect your before purchase! They're sold loose so they have no protection.

I just found an ad from April with what appears to be the correct baby monitor for $4. Anyone wanna call them and see if they still have it? Ill PM you the phone number.

Nice collections Funky Jedi and tripoli. (For some reason I feel another obsessive collecting compulsion coming on. :lol) Let me ask you guys something, (and anyone else in the know); which ones are the best, most accurate, hands down greatest versions of Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jesse that are out there? Any advice on these three in particular?

Not that I'm any expert but the Jesse I got from the Disney store seems to be close in size but what's with her hat!??! It it so thick and heavy? I want a polyvinyl hand stitched..well I want a thin plastic one..not that solid heavy one it comes with. The thinner smaller one that comes with the cheap $15 wal mart Jesse seems more accurate.

They made one of each that actually say something like "actual movie size". I think those are the closest.

Thinkway has released a Toy Story Collection Line that runs anywhere from $ 39.99 up to $ 69.99 for each one depending on sales and where you buy them. The Buzz Jessie and Woody are the best accurate replicas out there. There are still inaccurate parts and pieces, but they are the best of the ones offered. In the first picture I posted, you will see the certificates that come with them on the desk.
