Show off your MDF props!

That Buzz Ax is awesome! :thumbsup

Do you have to prime MDF before you paint it with the epoxy resin? I'm new to using this material, and I'm just trying to gain as much knowledge as I can...:cool

I used a filler primer(spray can) on the raw mdf sanded that down then used a normal primer when the pieces were all set to be cast.

I feel a bit silly putting this up given the beautiful work in this thread, but I figured I'd join the fun. I have always wanted to own a Blade Runner pistol, but can't really afford it (or chance customs taking it). Anyway, I decided to try and build one out of mdf and timber scraps. Please keep in mind I'm a beginner... though I am working on a new mdf build atm that I want to try and mold... that should be fun o_O

For a beginner you did a pretty good job! The metallic paintjob is very realistic. Next time I would try to make the grip a bit rounder though and maybe some texture on it.

I still want to make a BR blaster myself some day. Huge BR fan. I'm still in doubt if I will make it out of metal with a wooden grip or do a MDF one.

Great thread, some amazing builds. Here's my contribution:

Originally started out as the pepakura Book of Eli machete but the card was too thin so I used it as a template on MDF and got this.
