Show off your CLASSIC spiderman costume

well i havent had time to get any pics of my classic suit but i will soon & hopefully i will be able to start & post pics of my new suit in progress once i get the stuff for it, im still lost on my romita or ultimate style....& if anyone has a style to suggest im willing to consider anything else too as long as its still the regular red and blues haha

Yeah if not more... idk why though, i bought my print for two bucks, and its going to cost me 60 to get it printed, and then i have a seamstress in my family so thats free... plus the cost to make lenses, faceshell, and web wings, it will probably end up costing me around 200 to 230 dollars... so either I'm getting a really good deal, or some people over price things, because i think that most prints look just as good as Brad's, especially the comic style ones.
Btw friends, random and off topic but, I'm in a production of "It's a Wonderful Life" tonight as "George Bailey" (the main character) so wish me luck :D

Brads work and print quality is top notch, I have 3 suits from him and wouldn't buy from anyone else, his prints have accurate brick pattern and muscle shading, his sewing skills amazing! everything lines up perfectly, you can barely see were the suit is stitched togheter, he puts the invisible zipper same way as the movie original which you can't even see, you get what you pay for. you can see mine here:

I mean it does look great, but it's not exactly what i would want.... the brick pattern looks great on the raimi suit, but since i want the comic style suit, the muscle pattern he uses is WAY too dark and the brick pattern just doesn't look right for the comics.
He absolutely makes the best Raimi suit, but apart from that it's just not my taste.

My classic, somewhat avenging.. Ultimate Spidey havent got a chance to wear It out yet.

I hate to quote a picture for a third time on this page, but this costume is awesome!! The eyes are shaped like no other I've seen done on a comic style suit. Very refreshing. I hate when people slap raimi lenses on a comic suit. Looks weird.

Thanks guys I recently aquired It from Brad (spidey4fun). Definitly will post some better full shots once i get a camera person or make It to some con events.

Okay guys, i actually have a quick poll for all of you.
I've been looking at three style eyes for my Spidey suit. Here they are.
(I think someone on here drew this, if i remember correctly. So if this is your drawing, please speak up so i can give you proper credit! :D )

and here is the second style

Both look close to the Romita and Ditko style, but the second image is actually the newest Spider man in the comics i believe.
The third style is in the picture below with the web wings!
and here is my second poll.... should i add web wings? i was thinking something like this may actually look cool

So if yall could just give me a few answers for those i think I'll be in good shape!

i like the 2nd lenses its like romita but with an update wich is cool & i say go for the webs wings , id say make then a little shorter or you could even make them detachable with those little cloth hooks but i say go for both :thumbsup

I think that would probably look good too... i think the original ditko wings were actually a little shorter.....
thanks! :D
after looking at pictures though, with my suit, i would probably rather have the classic lenses since i am going to use the wings. if i wasnt going to use the wings, i would probably go with the ones you said though... maybe i will make two pairs though and make them interchangeable! :D

yeah if u wanted them interchanganle a;; it takes is magnets and a face shell :thumbsup i still havent made my mind up on what my 2nd attempt on a suit will be ..its hard to choose & start lol

Similar to a drawing I posted on the first page of this thread but a little different at the centre point. It's a great look, but I prefer the second set you posted.

What are you going to make the wings out of? You'd need a really stretchy and durable material to make them look/work right. The biggest problem I've seen on most suits that use them is they look really baggy when your arms are at your side.

I think I like the 1st lens better. As for web wings, the few times I've seen them done they didn't really look right. They looked kind of flappy, instead of stretched across from the arm to the side. If you really like the look though, I'd say go for it, and ignore the random person on the internet saying otherwise. :)

actually, I really do like hearing people's opinions! And you have a point. But what I'm wondering is if they used a weird material for it, or if they didn't sew it right, or what... I wonder if it would be possible for me to do a test with it? Then we could all truly decide what looks better! :D

Well, that's my issue... I don't really know what kind of material would be possible to use for it. I was thinking mesh, but usually mesh is not stretchy at all!
Do you know of anything that might work?
