Show off your CLASSIC spiderman costume

i know what ya mean Romita was my 1st choice before i did my ditko style , my next suit was either gonna be an ultimate or romita style i just havent made up my mind

I really like the Ultimate style as well! but, im 6 foot tall and have a very similar build to the ditko and romita style, so i would look super weird in an ultimate suit (since he is super skinny and short XD )

What the best way to attach your lenses? And replace them like your doing with your ultimate style ones, without a face shell? I'm scared to ruin the mask :-/

I got a mannequin head and removed the existing frames before putting the mask on the dummy head, then I VERY carefully lined up the new frames and attatched them with loc-tite glue. Doesn't take to long to set up so I only got one shot at it. Just make sure the centre of your framed line up with the centre of your eye cutouts on the mask and you'll be ok. Someone else probably has a better way to do it but that's how I managed, but we're off topic now...ON WITH THE SPIDEY SUITS!!

^ Nope, that was a pre-faceshell shot. I've got one now that I wear under every suit.

Decided to take a picture of the print from my computer... love the depth of color on this thing! (this picture will probably be huge again... sorry... but hey, at least you can see all the details :D )

btw, it comes with two masks.... i would love to have a removable mask, but would that make it to where a part of my neck is seen? because i really dont want that to happen. i may as well just use the mask attached. that would probably look better.

Rinzle, you could always leave a larger part of the attached masks neck on the suit & you would be able to tuck the detachable mask under that if you wanted it removable, either way would look awesome :thumbsup

^Thats what i was thinking at first, but it still might not be tight enough... thank you though!
I might use the mask to make the 1600's spider man suit for the Ren festival later... that would be interesting.

mines just spandex & it holds its self pretty tight tucked in & i always liked the 1600s spiderman mask it was an interesting idea lol..the more i see your comic print the more i want one lol

Really nice all around.

I'm working on a McFarlane style suit. I never see anyone in one of those, but thats the spidy I grew up with. Hopefully be able to post something soon.

Any tips on the mesh for the eyes? I don't want it to look too metallic, but can't use a fabric that is too transparent so my eyes could be seen. Any ideas?

theres actually one on ebay right now but idk when or if i wana try dye sub or not they look awesome especially a comic style suit but i like putting one together from scratch too, but who knows what ill end up doing i still cant make my mind up on a romita or ultimate lol & rexel just look around the fabric department in walmart or sumthin like that you should be able to find some see through cloth or sumthin

I'm airbrushing some mesh right now it's not coming out that good but I know it's me haha not the materials you should look into it.

@Wallcrawler248: How much does spidey4fun "Brad" charges to make a custom size spidery suit? You made two suits from him. How much we're they?
